Join us for a stroll to the white cottage in Glencoe!
This picture-perfect white cottage, The Lagangarbh Hut, can be found in the rugged and dramatic Scottish Highlands. Dwarfed by the enormous slopes of the Buachaille Etive Mor, this iconic building is not to be missed on a road trip through Scotland!
The hut is believed to have started out originally as a traditional crofting home. It is now owned by the National Trust for Scotland and since 1946, has been maintained by the Scottish Mountaineering Club.
It is possible to reach the cottage by parking on the side of the main road or in the very small carpark then walking down and crossing the River Coupall. The cottage is not open to the public however and can only be viewed from the outside.
Nearby places to visit include Rannoch Moor, Glen Etive, Glencoe Mountain Resort, The Three Sisters, Glencoe Visitor Centre and Loch Leven.
The Kingshouse Hotel is an excellent place to stay nearby. Alternatively, many accommodation & restaurant options can be found further along in the village of Glencoe.
