I'm in your same situation. My girlfriend and I have been together for 10 years. Even though my girlfriend and I live across town from each other, it's been since March 8th, which was the last time we spent any time together. Yes, we do meet up about once a month socially distanced. We've also been visiting over Skype, email, texting, phone calls, etc. She's a frontline worker, so it makes it even harder. I'm unemployed, and she had her hours cut back at her job. In the 10 years we've been together, this is now the longest we've been apart from each other. I was planning to propose to her this year, and we were planning to move in together, and get married in the next year or so. All of that is off the table until the pandemic is over. My girlfriend's parents hate me since I am now unemployed. It's hard, especially after 10 years. Meanwhile, my ex-girlfriend has shown back up in my life, saying that she wants me back after our breakup 13 years ago, she now has a daughter, and she wants me in her daughter's life. I don't know what to do.

I'm so happy for you both. My fiancé and I last saw each other 9 months ago and even though we're both Egyptian. He's locked outside of Egypt and I am locked inside with no sign of the embassy giving me a chance to reunite with him in Germany.
Long distance relationships aren't for everyone. One of the most difficult situations I've ever been placed in but we're both strong. We'll get through and hopefully reunite like you guys.

My God, I feel so happy for you two! It kinda hurts though since my bf is Vietnamese, I am Indonesian and we have been separated since January (10 months now). The last time we met we were still friends, both holding in our feelings, and now there are just so much indescribable feelings because we became a couple during the pandemic. I didn't meet my man for 3years 3months now. This gave me hope that the time is not far. Moreover, we are planning to meet in 2021 anyhow. Our first hug in sept 26th 2017 still feels like it was yesterday. I sobbing right now and can't wait to jump onto his arms..we are together since I just turned 13. I miss him sooo sooo much. Never thought he would be in my contact list forever and the most called person. Idk how bt we just clicked and there was not one day that we didn't talk..and finally he poured his heart to me and so did I. And since then we were inseparable . Just the next year only, he managed to fly to my state to meet me for the first time and it was truly magical. Now we are soon going to complete our 5 years together and meet on our anniversary week T~T
