PerrinPansy yes, you can. Most run with tire chains, the chains only serve to protect the tires from rock edges. I’m told the LeTourneau l-1850 the tires are $45k each and the the set of chains is $90K for the set. (The 1850 is the 2nd largest loader in the world to the 2350; 994k is 3rd)
I've operated a 992G front end loader and it was nothing short of impressive. VERY powerful and the adjustable torque converter was pretty cool too. If you pull into a rock pile and spin a wheel you will rip off chunks of rubber bigger than a lazyboy recliner or even a couch. If I remember correctly it held just under 400 gal of fuel. That big rear bumper/counter weight is also the fuel tank. I've lifted boulders that were so heavy that I had to walk it on just the front two wheels due to the rear being in the air. Literally TONS of fun!
Impressive since my 988b and f models lift 32 tons of logs fairly easily. Lots of counterweight though and anything over 32 ton and im doing the front axle rodeo. I cant imagine a 992 worh the rear axle off the ground.
I'm willing to bet the fuel tank is quite a bit more then 400 gals. Probably 1100 as 400 gals wouldn't make it one 12 hr shift and fueling is down time. Our Letourneau 1850 holds over 1000 gals and our two 1250's hold about 900 gals. I will have to look into the rear push beam( bumper) holding fuel. That would be stupid for a manufacturer to do. Letourneau puts them under the engine.
@@BairdRayburne my 988 only holds 175 gallons. It barely makes it past the 13 hour mark though. That 3408 is thirsty. My fuel tank is on the side though. I can't see a 992 needing more than 400 gallons for a 12 hour shift though.
I worked in caterpillar joliet where it used to built the 994 in1995 and had the chance to participante in everything related to manufacture this machine. These include cutting, forming, and welding the main componenents (bucket, lift arms, main frame)also in the assembly process, putting the engine, flywheel, radiator, hidraulic hoses etc. It was an honor to work in this wheel loader from that time.

If he just accidentally touches the accelerator the house will be scooped up along with the snow.
Thatoneguy Mccool No they wouldn't, the "flame method" is not permanent. It heats up the air causeing pressure to increase. When the air cools down the tires will be flat.
Noooooo never put heat to tires or rims. That how people kill themselves. These tires are filled to about 105 PSI and a good compressor can fill one in about 45 mins. It's a lot of volume. Heat can cause an internal fire and heaven/ hell is your next stop when they blow. So never put heat to a tire, rin, lug nut or hub with a tire on the hub. And if lightning strikes equipment evacuate the area and keep everyone away for 24 hrs.
I forget which model, but I had a 60 ton bucket loader break hydraulic line and drop it's load on the tail of my 120 ton Lectra Haul in 1981 as backing under. It brought my front wheels 6+ feet off the ground three times as it scooted out from under the load crushing the bed to the ground. I bounced off the cab ceiling every time loosing my hard-hat the third time, it was quite an ordeal. The loader driver was shaken even more than I was. I believe the loader was the biggest made at that time working at a open-pit phosphate mine is southern Idaho.
In 2014 I hauled a lift arm for its predecessor. Don't know the model, but the arm with the two bucket actuators attached were 53,000 pounds. I picked it up in Cassopolis, MI and took it to the Houston area to catch a Ship to South Africa.
Pretty sure it was the 994h before k. They were built in Aurora Illinois. I use to build the medium wheel loaders until 2018 when they moved it to a non union shop in Arkansas.

I remember of a fairly large crane running over a kid some years back and even on that the wheel was still flush with the ground so this definitely would be! Theres probably enough weight in 1 wheel alone rolling over you to flatten you beyond 10mm without even needing to be attached to the whole dumper truck! As for dragging a house, if you live in a caravan then yes, if it’s an actual house then no, however it would pull whatever you have attached to the house or wrapped around the house, through the house or off the house no problem at all! But if you wrapped a steel cable around a house it would just tear the cable through the house not drag the house! The house would lose though!
I think concrete can support around 3000 psi which is pretty tough since the surface area of each wheel touching the floor is around 120sqin and the CAT's weight is distributed to the 4 wheels.
stencil plus been a while but I recall seeing a large Dozer. I think they feature a bucket wheel excavator that looks basically like the Krupp machine in Germany. Presumably the haul trucks are loaded by wheel loaders such as this one.
What I find really cool about this thing is that it has basically the same proportions as a smaller wheel loader, it's only when you see people next to it (or the staircase on the other side of it) that it becomes apparent how gigantic it truly is.
1500 gallons with a 24 hour run time on a full tank assuming the price of diesel is around $2.75 right now in the US means its $4,125 to fill the tank per 24 hours of run time or give or take $172 an hour to run this thing. I mean I am no construction dude but considering how much ground it can move that seems pretty good for a massive scale operation.

You mean bl2
Ohhhhhhh.....brother... I am 1000000 % ok with you.
stencil plus been a while but I recall seeing a large Dozer. I think they feature a bucket wheel excavator that looks basically like the Krupp machine in Germany. Presumably the haul trucks are loaded by wheel loaders such as this one.
Per the video, in 2017 it would cost $3647 to fill the fuel tank. Now, in 2022, it would cost over $9000 to fill that tank at current prices.
Thanks for sharing :-) amazing specs !
height in feet, tire size in feet, fuel in liters. MAKE UP YOUR MIND
engine: hp but liters,
Two of those welded together with an upgraded hydraulic package should be able to lift my mother-in-law a few inches off the couch.
Damn. That’s what your wife will be like. Always look at the mom when dating a chick.
I'm laughing hard as fuck rn
and even then it would tremble and smoke would come out.

Whoismoreno Corral key word "try"

I probably don't have that much storage in total !
As a May 2022 update: It would cost about $9615 to fill the tank on this compared to the $3747 in 2017.
That's 1250 IMP gallons of fuel, 1500 US gallons holy crap!!
When I’m rich I definitely want to get one of these 😂
I know someone who designed this at Cat, they worked very hard on it.
Shoutout to all my fellow drivers👌
"honey, where did i park my car?"
I want that as a lawn ornament. My neighbor would be so jealous.
What I find really cool about this thing is that it has basically the same proportions as a smaller wheel loader, it's only when you see people next to it (or the staircase on the other side of it) that it becomes apparent how gigantic it truly is.
comically large wheel-loader
"which vehicle should we take to pass through Oregon?"
What’s so bad about Oregon bro 😂
tryna tell me oregon built like a spin tires map
1500 gallons with a 24 hour run time on a full tank assuming the price of diesel is around $2.75 right now in the US means its $4,125 to fill the tank per 24 hours of run time or give or take $172 an hour to run this thing. I mean I am no construction dude but considering how much ground it can move that seems pretty good for a massive scale operation.
Designers: Okay, so how big do you want it?
Marketing Executives: Yes
I wanna see whistling diesel get a hold of one of these...
Conventional wisdom: Do more with less.
Caterpillar:
