7000 PHP for a small flat in a gated community is brilliant. That's only about £110 (GBP). Say double that for all the utilities, drinking water, Internet, etc. £220 total. That is still good vfm. And being south of MNL means you're close to the airport too whenever you wanna get off somewhere for a few days.
I'm really looking forward to seeing videos of these 7k and 10k gated community flats or houses. In UK we call apartments flats lol.
    Stay safe mate.

Sounds like a very cool place. You've got everything you need, and the price is right. I have been to Cavite, but many years ago. Almost thirty. I remember it as being a modest, clean, family friendly area. Looks like it hasn't changed much. My favorite locale during that visit was Bagiuo. Cool weather. Fresh mountain air. And an awesome selection of fruits and vegetables, some not available elsewher in the Phills. Had an opportunity to buy something at that time. Sure wish I had. Really beautiful town.

We really appreciate your practical and interesting tips about retiring in the Philippines. You are right, Cavite is a great location. The beaches of Batangas make for an easy day trip or for more adventure the port of Batangas is an inexpensive bus ride or short road trip. From there you can take an overnight ferry to Boracay or Cebu. An even shorter ferry ride ( 1 hr) gets you to Puerto Galera in Mindoro

The South Luzon area has much cooler climates. You're finding people are moving out of Manila and relocating further south.
Yes, it's cheaper. They're also opened up a new Expressway [callax?] along with the S-Lex which is greatly reducing travel times to/from central Manila & it's airport.

Hello Steve like I said before I am in contact with MaryRose and she’s so nice and I just finish watching this video about Trece Martires and since I will need to be in contact with either Mary Rose or you should I be around your place so we can finalize my retirement visa and if yes can you recommend either hotels or short rental condos appartement for a stay of about a month.
Thank you again it’s so nice of you to make these videos so easy to understand 👌👌

Would love to come back there but the restrictons are just too much right now. Maybe in about a year things will be better. I hope so. Your area looks like a good place, would love to check it out. That is something to look forward to do. Take care, stay healthy.

The Torres Farm and Resort in Naic ,Cavite is quite interesting . I've seen several vlogs from there and it's beautiful place. The owner is a couple who met in the USA. ..a Russian woman married to a Filipino. Their TH-cam channel is The Baylosis Squad.

Greetings, I plan on doing some traveling in the coming months to research options for a winter home/stay. I'm ex Navy and have had many many inoculations and did spend some time in Subic but I got out in 87. What are the recommended inoculations for visiting the Phillipines? Thanks ..I like your videos

My gf and I are planning on living somewhere in Cavite. She has a sister there and wants to live near her. I don't know where she lives exactly. We will live with the sister until we find a place of our own. Can't wait to get there and check the place out.

Wow, I never heard of Trece Martires, had to google map the location. Maybe it's best we keep it that way? You wouldn't want a slew of expats bombarding the area.

My elderly parents are moving back to the Philippines for good after living in the USA for 50+ years. Trying to find a reasonably priced home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. I noticed there are plenty of 1 bedroom/1bath condos/apartments but fewer 3+ bedrooms. Trece Martires and Silang Cavite look like a nice place to retire. Any recommendations as to where to look? Do we need to work with a realtor? We’re thinking about $500/month rent. You’ve been very helpful with your advice about living in the Philippines. We’ve seen a lot of your TH-cam videos. Keep up the good work!

People ask me the same questions about Siquijor. I tell them that the beaches are overrated, the transport is terrible, the people are unfriendly and the accommodation is either overpriced or not available. Strange smelly people wander the streets and pull at your clothes with slime covered hands. These are all lies, of course. I just don't want to get crowded out. Nowadays the beaches get crowded with ex-pats and tourists during tourist season. I don't want a whole heap of loud tourists ruining my quiet walks in the mountains or jumping into my usually deserted swimming spots all year round. I know it's selfish. But what are you gonna do. I love it the way it is now and I don't wanna share. so all you foreigners just push off. lol. Great video as usual mate keep it up and I hope you realize that this comment is tongue in cheek.
