I couldn’t do a loft with the bathroom downstairs. But for 4k pesos the price is right, especially if you don’t spend much time there. With a place like that you can easiest live on a $1200 a month budget.
You should be able to live like the president of the Philippines if you need $1100 to live after rent. That includes never eating at home and having a car plus all the usuals.
I love that this is from a year ago. Everyone keeps saying you need $2000 at least to be comfortable in the Philippines but this $80 apartment seems perfect for the most part. That’s not even $1000 for rent a YEAR. This is all I want. I will definitely keep track of these videos. Maybe the simple life I want isn’t so far away after all.
Thanks for the video.. I hope Steve is feeling okay.. hi to both of y'all and the apartment dwellers.. I will be there in a couple of months to meet my fiance and I hope to see all of y'all🤗🤗😎👍
The only thing I'd change is the table and chairs. They would have to be foldable so I could make more space when needed. If I got up to use the bathroom I might end up on the couch.😂🏝️
Wow $80. Love it..apartments in the east bay of Northern California start at $2500. I have almost 100k saved to come to the Phillipines in October I might just be staying awhile with rents that low.
how much did he spend to fix up the apartment? I did hear steve mention the move-in budget but was wondering if he came under it. I think it was supposed to be something like 3-5k usd?
If I was living by myself maybe, otherwise too small and also with the bathroom downstairs it's not practical. I stayed in an airbnb in Cabanatuan with a much larger kitchen but the bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs, it wasn't practical if you needed to use the bathroom in the night, but ok to each his own.
Is there a door jam or door sweep under the door? Or is that just wood on cement with just enough gap to keep it from scraping the tile covered cement entryway?
Has to be difficult to have to take a piss in the middle of the night, getting out of the bed wedged in the loft, not hitting your head then going down those dangerous steps.
I think someone younger can probably tolerate it but for old people it looks very cramped with steep stairs. Not so clean either. When I retire in several years at old age I'd like to somewhere a bit more glamour. The place very small m
Wonderful job to both for outfitting the unit clutter free!
Great video. Thanks.
Welcome

Filled with live and style.

Interesting look...
They did a nice job personalizing their place. And for 4,000 Pesos, you cant go wrong!
Did I see parking big enough for cars out behind the dirty kitchen? Is that part if that apartment building? Is parking extra?
This place looks amazing, small but workable to keep within a small budget.
Good video Rich, nice apartment.
Thanks

Cant show the flies everywhere but look good
The place looks so neat and tidy. For 4K a month, that's a very good price.
Is there a back patio for cleaning the laundry?
Nice and small . Could have several of those scattered around Philpines and skip hotels lol
Love it! Any Korean people in the area? I'm a veteran and wife is Korean.

My grandfather used a paint can to pee in during the night.
Hi Jack, easy for you too say as a man, but what does your granddaughter say. LOL
😎👍🇺🇲
That's definitely a bargain.
what's the floor area?
Is there a bathroom in the apartment?
Yes
What would be the square footage of that place? I know my mom and dad have a 30 ft RV and it's about 300 sqft
Where located city? Nice place
Trece Martires City
0:57 Those stairs look odd.
Price is cheap. I wouldn’t want to live the rest of my life in a place that small though. What would an extra $100 per month provide space wise?

Totally different place and mine is $80 now.

Very small. What happens when you get old. And can’t climb the stairs.
He's all ready old, he only gets up 3 to 4 times a night to go. LOL
way to small for me
Way too small for me….
What does bathroom CR look like?
