Braydon understandably and deservedly gets most of the praise - but Nicole (his wife) directed and edited. She did a masterful job because the quality of the story is effortless. Her work seems invisible - which is a big part of what makes this movie so brilliant.

Does it though? When someone’s job, their livelihood, they way they pay for their family is to ride bikes and make videos, and they have spent their entire life able to focus fully on athletic performance, surrounded by the best coaches in all possible fields and sponsored to do this, it is considerably less “hard” or inspiring. Inspiration is when the ordinary creates the extraordinary. It’s a Michelin starred meal made on a camp fire using spam and a bread stick, not fifty chefs having access to the worlds finest ingredients in a specially built climate controlled kitchen.
@@asifitmatters1 I'd say Yes, it does. Inspiration is built off watching the man fail so many times and still accomplish the goal. The environment and resources provided are irrelevant.
In a way, this is the 'Free Solo" of MTB. Absolutely remarkable. This will always be remembered in the timeline of MTB history for years to come. Massive respect.

It’s got all the god that free solo had, but without the foolish risking of life should you fail. Don’t get me wrong I loved free solo, but I want to convey the message to my kids that you can accomplish things that nobody else has even thought to do, but you don’t have to risk your life to do it.

Similar but not quite. Missing a move in Free Solo meant death; Braydon got to try again.

For decades I've always loved the challenge of climbing on an MTB, never too fussed about downhill shredding. I was so chuffed to find this video of a superior athlete who not only loves MTB climbs but is arguably one of the world's best at it. Braydon is like Nino Schurter, on a level far above pretty well everyone. Reminds me of Alex Honnold in his pursuit, psychology and athletics. I’m 55. Used to do 24 hr solo Mtb racing along with lots of other extreme sports. I’ve ridden DOWN the Enchilada twice so I know what you accomplished. Truly one of the most insane feats I’ve ever seen. Good on ya! Thanks for the inspiration!!! I watched this from my couch while nursing a double leg break in a motocross accident. Found myself pedalling my broken leg while watching you grind lol. A much needed uplift, you changed me today and for that I thank you immensely!

Writing from the perspective of a stay at home parent to an amazing spouse, I give his wife huge kudos to be the partner that enables her husband to go out an accomplish big things that are very visible to the world. She's doing big things are that mostly invisible to the world but are just as challenging and perhaps even more important. "Well done!" to both of you.

@@bl00df4rt hah. I was barely able to clean this trail going DOWN on a hardtail. There's no way I could get burro pass, or any of the 3 crux moves, or about 20 other moves. Braydon is incredible. I've had the pleasure of riding with him before and it just blew my mind what he could do.
What a team Braydon & Nicole! I never expected to be so moved by a branded film, but this embodies the spirit of what I feel makes mountain biking (and its community) so great. It's so natural to want to overcome an obstacle in mountain biking and that spirit carries through to all aspects of life. I remember bombing down Porcupine Rim a few years ago on a single track Litespeed with one inch of rear travel. the bursas in both wrists got all messed up for months from the impact. I passed people going the wrong direction and realized how much of a wimp I was. Excellent work doing this and getting it on film! Truly pinnacle athleticism, and great to see the right combination of family, friend, expert, and medical support!

Having ridden the Whole Enchilada many times down I often wondered how ridiculously hard it would be to go up. I am now recovering from cranial surgery, and not able to ride at all. Your journey and accomplishment are so inspiring. It is a great reminder that the mountain in front of me can be climbed. Just focus on each individual challenge as it comes and if it takes 50 attempts that is what it takes. I will be back riding for sure, on the Whole Enchilada again… and no, it will not be up. Thanks, Braydon and Nicole for sharing this story.
Hey Zack, use the film for motivation and dare to dream what YOU are capable of. I suffered a life altering brain injury (downhill mountain biking) 6 years ago. At first I could not walk 100 yards, 3 years in I still couldnt drive more than 10 minutes from visual overload. Almost 6 years later, I still need to rest 2-4 times a day due to overstimulation. But after 2162 days or 2132 consecutive days of DAILY physio, I am able to mountain bike again (on an bike but hell who cares!!). Not super far and nothing crazy, but its been a friggin dream I never gave up on. I can't imagine how challenging, recovery from cranial surgery is, but you will find a little piece deep inside yourself, a part that has mental strength you never thought humanly possible. Hang on to that part and make sure that part of you comes out a little each day and you will have your Whole Enchilada! Giver diesel!

20 Years On, Keep Climbing! From waking up to EMS standing over me in the road, to craving riding again while laying in a hospital bed, to getting on a bike at 6 months, and running into the curb lol. Some years have been full of riding the trails, some years have been busy with life, some years have been full of other fun activities. But continue to take it a day at a time with the ups and downs and joys and frustrations. Hope today and tomorrow are good days Zach and Eric!

At the outset, I didn't think I would last the whole hour and a half. It was captivating right from the start.......a true testament to the writing and editing of this film. Of course, it couldn't have happened without Braydon's raw courage, stamina and unrelenting mental toughness. He could not have done this without the support of his family and many close friends to give him the support to see this through. This event will be talked about for a long time to come, until someone outdoes it. When you hold the record, it is just a matter of time before someone beats it. As an aging Belgian mountain biker, I had the opportunity to ride The Whole Enchilada and the Moab slickrock trails in 2011 after biking the Colorado Trail with El Camino Loco, and riding the BCBR race in 2010. The BCBR guys drew my attention to this stupendous ride : many thanks ! I recognized every single inch of it, and this time in exquisite detail. ENORMOUS respect for this awesome biker ! And great thanks to the camera crew !

Good comparison, yet this seems so much harder. 99% of riders can't even ride down the snotch. Riding up it is unimaginable. Let alone riding the other 30 plus miles 🤯

Braydon is such an inspiration. This is my second time watching the film and I still have the same amount of stoke as the first time. Never been so stoked to see someone climb a bike, I’ve always been a downhill rider but this film is something special. Thank you Braydon for putting this out there and being such an inspiration!
I've ridden down the Whole Enchilada four times. Not once could I clean everything, and theres many spots I wouldn't even attempt. Walking a few spots scared me. This is a supreme effort.
Braydon is a huge inspiration for me!!! I mountain bike and have been struggling with school just like him when he was in school. I also share having A.D.D. / A.D.H.D. and the problems that come with it. All I can say is THANK YOU!!!

This documentary inspired me in so many ways. As a new mountain biker today I encountered a hill I was struggling with. I attempted it 26 times before getting up it. I thank you for showing the resolve, the attitude surrounding it, and helping make this old man’s day. I kept saying I will get this.

What an incredible feat, I'm 82 and this young man's effort, perseverance and dedication taught me a lesson about what it takes to achieve a goal like that if you really want it. My hats off to you, son. There is no doubt that for everyone who watches this, they will find inspiration and hopefully what it takes to accomplish their dream. However, without the support of your Church, family and good friends to have that blessings, I don't think a person can develop the kind of character it takes to do it.
I started mountain biking in 1984.5. In North Vancouver. This feels like OG mountain biking ❤❤❤❤So raw.
It all began with changing one's mindset. Brandon has some serious skills too. I love this film. In inspires, the line choices, the positive mental attitude, the supportive crew, the wifey, it is simply relatable to our everyday in the life but, hold my beer till I'm done, gotta go climb the whole enchilada first.

I absolutely love the ride. I've been there and have ridden the downhill and it's epic. The riding uphill aspect of this movie is unreal. Absolutely love it. The challenge, the effort, the grind, the grit, determination, everything. And what sticks out to me most is how good of a guy Braydon Bringhurst is. He's climbing this thing, doing something no one else has, exhausting himself and he's still checking on everyone else. Making sure they're ok, thanking them for being there, for helping, for cheering him on. If you can take one thing away from this, it's how good of a dude he is and how much better could we all be? Hope to meet you some day, Braydon. I've got so much respect for you. Thanks.
I've ridden up from hazard to the snow and at that elevation it's so much harder than it looks. That top part took a super human effort. Way to go Braydon. Epic in every way.
Epic. I’ve ridden the Porcupine Rim starting above hazard and then another day rode the Whole Enchilada, my friend Ian rode the Snotch while others watched. All of it was the regular way and never crossed my mind someone could do it going up. Congratulations🎉and God bless you.
I have been looking forward to the release of this film ever since the announcement. It has been an exciting experience being able to watch this and see a display of the potential of the human mind and body. Braydon has inspired me to know and believe the impossible is in fact possible. Seeing Braydon especially overcoming the mental crux of this challenge gives me the drive to push my limits on the bike as well as in life. Thank you for sharing this experience, Braydon.

Amazing accomplishment. I rode down it about 4yrs ago, walked a good portion of the tech. I had my arms raised and tears in my eyes when I saw the burro pass sign. The best part is the friends and family going alongside you for all of that. Congratulations to all involved.
wow, such climbs are what I love most.. you against yourself. I had a track I was trying for 20yrs.. finally made it with age of 52, one winter day, the ground was frozen and snowflakes created a perfect, sticky grip...

What a fantastic film / Documentary made by amazing people. I only had it on the background whilst I was wrapping Christmas presents in the UK. I don't know who Braydon is all I was aware of is Moab & The Whole Enchilada trail. But from the start if the film I was impressed with his riding style & his life from an early age. What an amazing athlete and person.
Having rode this the 2nd weekend of Oct this year this blows my mind, incredible skill and fitness but even bigger the mental fortitude is the most impressive part of it
Damn.. This hits home. I am an x college Pole Vaulter who found mountain biking after graduating and fell in love. I have always been fascinated at how Pole Vaulting attracts a certain person and the commonalities in interest.
I used to pole vault too, it certainly attracts a certain type of person haha.
Absolutely amazing, I can't imagine the levels of stress and endurance that everybody went through, friends, families, kids and spouses. That was not something to be marvelled at, it was a feat of human engineering, will and body power but the support in all senses is paramount. Well done Braydon, you have left your kids a legacy that will inspire them and make them eternally proud.

I have been racing and riding BMX and Mountain Bikes since the 70's, with all the changes over the years this is one of the most amazing challenges I have seen on a bike. Braydon you blow my mind, this was truly inspirational and motivates me to keep pushing my limits every time I get on my bike!
Goes to show that even the most exceptionell and strong humans needs support. From wives, mentors, friends and so on. And it does not diminish the extreme effort and performance a bit. Amazing piece of film, love it!

Braydon I don't even know what to say. What an absolutely jaw-dropping feat. Cody was with you the whole way, no doubt. This was so inspiring on so, so many levels. I've descended WE more times than I can count, and while the camera work was stunning and seamless, it still gave NO justice to the sheer size and steepness of some of these features. I still can't comprehend how you got up some of them. Just wow. Mind blown.

I wish everybody could actually see the difficulty of this trail with their own eyes as the camera doesn't do it justice. I live outside of Durango ,CO. If this film played at some of our local venues it would bring tons of poeple to watch it. Incredibly motivational, jaw dropping, mind boggling how this was accomplished. You have every ounce of my respect but moreso you have made me want to up my game on my riding. I can relate to this guy. I just started doing Mtb 3 months ago. I’m 34 years old. I’ve been riding with some guys that have been riding for years and they are amazed how quickly I picked it up and how I’m advancing every week rapidly. I’m doing some gnarly technical trails some of them see them as hard and challenging. They are even being pushed by my skills to hit those part of the trails they fear to do. I can only imagine where I will be in a few years.

The Snotch is scary going down, most people walk it! I cannot imagine climbing up it. This dude is incredible!
I have seen athletes doing extrememe endurance, but this is the first time seeing impossible technical climbs combined with energy sapping effort on an mtb. That downhill is brutal but cant imagine climbing it. Doing 50 attempt sessions to master a climb, this is mtb history! And thanks to Nicole for supporting him and pouring encouragement when he is at the moments of doubt and about to quit. And the camera team has done a great job.

Congratulations Braydon! What an impressive achievement. It was painful to watch at times, but you persevered and conquered. You probably do not recall, but I met you at Eagle bike park this past September. I was the guy trying to do the platform drops. I had my camera set and I had no idea what was coming next. You came up from the bottom onto the platform and landed a wheely. It was the most amazing bunny hop I had ever seen someone do. I clapped and congratulated you, but I had no idea who you were. Now I know. Cheers brother!

Absolutely phenomenal job to all involved. I’m someone who hates climbing more than anything in MTB. In my eyes, you might as well have just walked to the moon. My mind is blown, and I’m glad people like you exist. All the props to the team and your wonderful wife….the hike alone is nuts. But to ride the entire thing? My hat’s absolutely off to you. Congratulations on your achievement. No matter what happens in your life going forward, you did that, and nothing can ever take that accomplishment from you. Incredible!!! So stoked that this film is finally out. Congrats on all the hard work. I do have one complaint, the scene where you leave you wife and three kids to go riding at the start of the movie is completely unrealistic. I have a wife and two young daughters and I have never managed to leave for a ride with that much peace and calm on the family front :) Keep it up bud!
