I got the same bike and same clutch lever. I thought I did the clutch rod adjustment right and I did so thanks for the conformation. I have redone this whole bike maybe not as far as you've gone but I have change oil and filter 2 times just to help clean junk out if there was and flushed radiator, new clutch cable and throttle cables new rotors and brakes, new stator and rectifier, I had to fix wiring because they messed it all up through the years adding led lights and not doing it right. And also spark plugs, air filter and fuel cleaner. I also bought brand new fairings but imma have to wait for them to come so I'm running the old ones this summer.

great vid, looks like my garage but i have a 02 750 and a 87 scirooco , I was wondering how the tension is on your clutch lever is? i replaced my clutch cable last year , lubed it but still feels tight and not free and snappy.

Thanks for the vid it's helped me work towards a problem I've been having- I took the front sprocket cover off a k7 750, no problems at all just to give the sprocket a clean. Put everything back together as was (or so i thought), even marked where the gear linkage and lever rods were so they are exactly as they were. However now, bike seems to constantly be in N and won't start. It clicks into N and above fine, but won't stay in 1st, just flicks back into N. Electrics are fine, wheel moves when in N and not in gear which is good. Also fuel pump whirrs away as normal on turning key, so I'm convinced it's just my clutch adjustment- But I'm sure I've tried every sort of adjustment to no avail- Any further ideas or just keep adjusting?!

Did you just grease the very end of the push rod where it goes into the clutch release lever? Im reassembling the push rod on my GSXS 750 and cant find any info about greasing the push rod. Thanks

+Tyler Student I really wish I put a ruler on it for you... Are you trying to fit a different length rod than the stocker?
