flown mine several times with no issues were the wheels towed in to much like min or at zero , as they should be , ? great little p40 i like and and are in the process of doing a Aleutian tiger custom from spare parts since the spare motors are now available
Nothing beats that big red spinner and shark mouth nose of a P-40. Seems AeroFoam have rebranded these now, one thing I assumed was just damage or a fault on the prototype listing example is the warped wing - how the wing is bent dow slightly at the tips but I see it features on this example too so it must be a manufacturing flaw in all of them. I like my wings straight and rigid thanks, pity because no one else has a really scale late model P-40 in foam at the moment.
Nice flying!! Is that not the same p40 that hobby king did about 5 years back. Looks identical and the feature are spot on. Either way…nice bird. Has banana hobby finally upped their customer service and quality control of products?!
The one thing that always breaks on the P-40 is the Rotation Pin on the main gear retracts its not nearly strong enough and needs a better pin installed into it.
Are you talking about the pin at 90° to the leg that spins the gear so it folds into the wing or the main Trunnion pin in the retract? Without seeing a video of your landings or runway would be hard to offer advice. If its the small pin that rotates the leg 90° when the retracts come up thats very strange!
Mine made most of a pattern on the maiden, then the left aileron servo went all crazy and the wing stalled. It could have been me, but I think it was the radio system I was testing. It was a sad day because it looked like a nice plane.
@@THEMADFLYER after digging around I saw the same sentiment by most people, not a fit for me. I want to fly the absolute pizz out of my planes and don't have a ton of budget. Ty for the response
Hi RC Informer! Great video! This one looks like a terrific plane to be added to my fleet! Lol. One question is this P-40 the same one from Durafly? Thanks for sharing
@@RCINFORMER Thanks for replying. I understand. All your videos are very detailed and illustrative. After watching them is very hard not to buy them. Lol. Thanks,
Rich. Very nice P-40. I got to add SEFF to the list! You going to Nall In The Fall? I just received a message in the mail from Triple Tree. They planning on holding the event Oct 2 through Oct 9. 👍
Biggest piece o crap I've ever purchased. Wing has serious wash out on the Left side panel, Flap servo never did work and one gear seems to work when it wants to. NEVER will I purchase Banana anything again.
COME ON YOU GUYS...WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO START THINKING ABOUT MAKING THIS SIZE AIRCRAFT ALSO AS A RTF FOR THE BEGINNERS OUT HERE..WHEN YOU GUYS MAKE THESE WAR BIRDS..MAKE BOTH VERSIONS..RTF AND YOU PNPS ON BNF..THIS IS WHAT THE BEGINNERS ARE WAITING AND LOOKING FOR OUT HERE..😊👍👍👍and make them with safe and Gyros..because we love the war birds.at this SIZE...
I'm not a big fan of RTF!!! Every beginner even if they buy a E-F@!t comes to the conclusion that the transmitter is lacking. Most of the time you end up buying a new one like my 6 channel Spectrum, only to figure out its not big enough for the models you plan on having. I now have a used DX18QQ not the newest thing out there but I'll never have to small a radio. As for the radios these folks sale. I have one of their 10 channel programmable, that holds 10 models. Nice looking transmitter but they never offered a 10 channel receiver to go with it. Now the transmitter has been discontinued ( not on the website anymore ). So what do I have? A conversation piece? Wasted money!!! As far as Gyros goes. I have them in every airplane I own ( it's insurance )!! They are inexpensive and easy to install if you watch the videos.
Is this the old Durafly mould with improvements?
same plane.
Really like the way she flys, great control as usual Rich 👍🏻

AWESOME Rich!!! My first views today. Great flying and really fun to watch! I'm a fan!!! Ron T.
Sing it now....You dropped a bomb on mee, baby....you dropped a bomb on me....
Nice tips on a cool P-40. AirHammer out!!

Yes! CS is great now, QC is really great now.
Got one and is a little touchy. I’ll change the horn hole 😳.🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Eric, Put both the elevator & aileron horn holes on the second from the inner hole on the horns:)

Thanks nice plane.
why 2nd hole? just back off the thro's on radio? why not? what are the rec thro's on this?
When you back off the throws, you loose resolution. You want to try to set the horns so you can comfortably fly the model at 100% servo travel.
The one thing that always breaks on the P-40 is the Rotation Pin on the main gear retracts its not nearly strong enough and needs a better pin installed into it.
I haven’t had this problem and have not been made aware of it being a known issue with the aircraft. What surface are you flying off?
@@RCINFORMER Geo-tech surface runway ive got 2 of those planes and they both broke the swivel pin on the main gear

@@RCINFORMER Yes Rich ive had 2 break off and one just came out of its bore.so i just super glued them back in
Very informative 👏

You made this look easy I flew mine and had a hard time balancing the wings is this normal for flying a warplane for the first time?
Nö!😁
Shes quick! 👍👍😎
Fun plane!
From the "jumpseat" greeting! (ATL-MCO flt)
Hey Ron!
hey, where do you measure the cg on the wing.
Where the leading edge meets the fuselage.
55-65 mm from wing/fuse edge. 55 is for 3s 65 is for 4s you can find the manual at banna hobby
3536 900kv is only swinging an 8 x 6 prorp. Tiny prop for that motor. i bet it will cook with a 10 x 10. does it have the ground clearance ?
I haven’t measured it but I would loosely say nothing over 9 inch diameter otherwise The risk of a prop strike is very high🙂
What's up with the insignia being wrong?
This looks like the DuraFly P-40N, no longer available from DuraFly. Did Blitzworks RC take over production or distribution of the DuraFly product?
Can’t comment on specific brands but i think you may be half right with your question at least ;)
Yahoo!!!!!
Nice! Just purchased one
Did it fly good?
Yes
@@Runk3lsmcdougal not the best flyer, but one to add to the collection
The Best P-40 is made by FMS. They have a smaller 980mm & a 1400mm version. Both with flaps & retracts.

What ever happen to your Banana Hobby YF-23? Do you still have it. Not a favorable plane to fly??
Yes, still have it! Just have not had a chance to fly it again
@@RCINFORMER hope you can do an update on that model. Not too many recent videos about the plane.
