- The lawmaker representing Borno South senatorial district, Sen. Ali Ndume, has been removed as Chief Whip and replaced with Sen. Tahir Monguno.
Sen. Ndume was replaced by the Senate during plenary following a complaint letter from the national working committee of the all progressive congress (APC).
