NIGERIA LOSES $10BN TO OIL THEFT IN SEVEN MONTHS - SPEAKER ABBAS

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen said that the country lost about 10 billion dollars in revenue to crude oil theft, vandalism and other forms of sabotage in the oil and gas sector between January and July 2024.
The Deputy speaker of the House, Hon. Benjamin Kalu who represented the Speaker at the commencement of an investigative hearing on crude oil theft and revenue losses thereof yesterday said it was practically impossible for the government to meet its daily obligations to the people with such huge revenue loss.
