I need to get some of these made in 1:20 scale. I would suggest trying to locate some silica sand, it is very fine compared to what is in use here. The sand seems to be a little out of scale here.

Silica sand is a great idea! I think I have 3 ways to do this recorded already plus I have a couple other ideas not yet recorded and now one more to add to them so thank you

If you wait for the first strip to dry wont you mixture you made also dry? Or if you cover it or something will it stay wet?

Everything will dry, I just don't want it to get stuck in the mold

Laurie. Do you thing that sand mix would stick to paint for the grout color? Also what length is the stencil? You have perfect timing because I want to do a stone wall in my Tudor beside the stairs. Thank you for sharing.

Ye sit does that's how I got the red color bricks. They come in different sizes so you can do various areas of your dollhouse. The bricks are 1/8" high and 1:12 scale
