  • This video discusses the Faux Stones treatment of the Dollar Store Dollhouse using Egg Cartons.
The 1:12 scale model of a Pennsylvania Stone Colonial house was constructed with products primarily found at the dollar store. Foam core board is used for the structure and egg cartons are used to create the faux stone façade.

So the polyurethane stuff goes on the stones at the very end? After the clear coat?

Any type of clear coat finish can be used. This seals the surface and helps to create a bond of the material and enhance the appearance.

How do you make this drywall compound?

Drywall compound is acquired at your local home improvement center. There are ready mix versions or powder form (that I used) that is mixed with water.

Ohh ok! Is it like the same thing as the spackle? I have spackle that is purple but dries white?

@@sierraeller3408 Both are made from gypsum, but spackle is generally used for small repairs and dries quicker. In a pinch, both should work. You should first do a test to see how this performs.
