    Everyone is a rookie at some point, and none of us are born experts. Attitude is everything and luckily this guy has the right one. He was on his very first solo trip at a job he’s only been at for a week, and this mistake had him flustered, nervous, and scared that he was going to lose the job that he’s worked so hard to get.
    Yes I could have charged his company for this winch out, and he even told me that he would pay me himself so that his boss wouldn’t get a big tow bill and fire him on his first trip, making it impossible to get another job, and therefore losing his work visa. The poor guy was tore up with the thought that he was about to lose all he's gone through to get to this point in his life. But after talking to him for a bit, and him asking for advice and tips on a few things, I just told him no charge. The relief on his face and the emotion that washed over him was priceless and worth every bit of it.
    Hopefully this minor mistake is a good learning experience, and the helping hand is a good encouragement to stick with and enjoy the career that he’s worked so hard to get.
    I told him he could text or call me any time for advice, and I really hope he does.

    I've been trucking for a while now and lost a lot of respect for the industry. All too often, it's easy to blame the newbies and the foreigners for the decline of the trucking industry and develop a very toxic opinion.
    But we all make mistakes and started from being a rookie. You just showed in this video that America is the greatest country in the world to learn, grow, and thrive. At least on the backroads of Oregon.
    In many countries and parts of our own country, he would have been belittled, fined, overcharged for recovery, and likely fired.

    Casey I don't understand how you can have any haters, cause every single video I have ever seen of yours they ALL END THE SAME. They all want to give you a hug , a handshake, an email address, and or invite you and the family over for Christmas dinner. Your a hell of a guy Casey and I wish there were more people out here in the world like you so I salute you in that what you do. And one other thing ... That you can and will continue your efforts for as long as humanly possible. HATS OFF TO YOU!!! Casey . And when I can I'm gonna get that Haters T shirt of yours and sport it proudly just like you said ,and for that reason... Keep it up it makes him smile upon you and yours.

    💙🇺🇲 Casey that was so very cool of you to treat that trucker with much respect and decency and to make him feel better about his situation. It was really great to watch you interacting with the guy and his reaction of both relief and thankfulness for what you did for him, it was both inspiring and thoughtful. I Hate Casey LaDelle...your a great guy! 😅

    Your a really good man.
    What you did there 10% madea massive difference. .you have shown that quality many times.
    Generosity for people that deserve that helping hand. Not just monetarily. You might have put just enough normalization to a mistake and let him get passed his mistake to learn and move forward. Instead of life from a mistake before getting chance to do it correctly.
    People like you are the reason lots of people can succeed. Or get through a bad time .
    I commend you Sir.

    Lack of Situational Awareness is probably the overall reason for more screw-ups with all drivers but especially new ones. When I first started, most of my tight problems occurred when I made a wrong turn onto a road or highway and needed to do a 180°. If a driver panics and makes a bad decision, like trying to turn around with a "u"ee on a highway instead of maybe adding 50miles out of route, he or she gets to meet people like Casey and the PERSON IN THE VEHICLE WITH THE RED STROBES behind the scene!!! The guys that trained me also pounded in that regardless of how remote or quiet the area seems to be, do not disobey the basic rules of the road.

      @Iamthathillbilly 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      For sure. I'm sure this will be a learning experience for him, if in the future he has to turn around, I bet he spends a couple minutes to make sure he's found a suitable area to do so first.

    Casey, youre a solid dude. Its so refreshing and rare to see true kindness and love like you show. Youre appreciated by more than that poor trucker. At least he didnt pull the rear of his trailer over the hood of a car in Houston that contained a Buffalo Bills quarterback and his family. Ugh. That dude was FREAKING HUGE! LOL

    The old timers said a lot of tips when I first started driving heavies and that was appreciated quite a bit like that fellow. When you start in industrial jobs like hauling logs, building bush roads, and especially operating a 10ton highway plow rig every sincere supportive statement from an experienced driver was like finding gold. ;)
