U do know custard is originally made with eggs and cornflour,and not the powder version we usually buy right,if u buy a No bake milktart the filling is a custard but doesn't contain custard powder it contains eggs and cornflour,Feel free to Google homemade custard

Normal whipping cream
Do I wait till it cools off to put in frigde
No need to wait it will take a few hours to set but I made mine the day before

Hi u probably never made homemade custard then, because it's made of milk and eggs and cornstarch,not custard powder, it's called custard tart.
Egg custard or confectioners custard.... Not made with custard powder that u are familiar with
