- Ruby is a 9 year old Rottweiler with a damaged back leg. She's been limping her whole life and is in need of a few chiropractic adjustments. In this Multi-Part series of videos, watch the process that Dr. Doug Willen does to balance old misalignments and deep muscle pain.
Today he goes deep into the hip with massage work. You can hear several cracks when he adjusts her neck.

Ruby is fabulous, she’s so happy because she is very comfortable and more mobile, she even looks younger in her face, she is very mischievous and started taking all the toys (poor Jaxon) Ruby has had many different treatments and therapies over the years but none of them have benefited her like this. I am so grateful to have found Dr Doug he really is life changing!!! I have to drive a minimum of 3 hours each way, it’s so worth it to have Ruby in the best condition she can be. Ruby is so relaxed after her treatment that she gets in the car, has a big drink of water and then sleeps on the bed the whole way home. I can’t thank you enough Dr Doug.😘

I hope so, I know it's also stressful to be worked on, and part of her kissing is her wanting to bond. But, I think she needs the work, and her owner Debra drives several hours to get her treated.

The biggest part is that she doesn’t whine if she was occasionally very quickly whining that’s a sign she is in pain

Ruby is so funny. Dr. D and her are like a comedy act. You can see there is a lot of processing going on with Ruby. I bet nap time is around the corner for Ruby and tomorrow and the following days her body motion will be better.
When they go home, they have a very long car ride, and Debra says that Ruby sleeps the whole way!

This video shows how Rottweilers ACTUALLY are.....just sweet and loving animals instead of the usual that shows them vicious and foaming at the mouth. I've had a Rottweilers for 9 years now and they are such sweet animals

Mostly kissing. We filmed 3 already, and Ruby is doing better and better, but I can't fix the bent leg, so that won't change at least on my watch!
Debra, the owner, is very happy with Ruby's health, progress, and ability to move with less pain. I am grateful anytime I can reduce stress/ pain on an animal.

This is sad and heartwarming. I had a gorgeous female Rottie called Dazzler who sadly passed away at 4 years old. She wasnt a well dog from the start and suffered from terrible joints and hip dysplasia. She became overweight every quickly despite our best efforts it came to a point where she just couldn't walk although she loved walks. Wish we had someone like this guy here to help her feel more comfortable in her last year or two. Still breaks my heart thinking about her. She was a 7 stone (little sister) to my two mini yorkies but was the most gentle and kind hearted animal I've owned in 35 years. Will never forget your beautiful smile darling. Love dad. X

I really like this, because your talking to the dog more than anyone, most other dog chiropractor videos I've seen the person is silent and the dogs whimper whenever they adjust anything, this is alot more fun to watch
I'm sure its much more comfortable for the animals too since he talks in a very even tone and they would pick up on that and relax a little.
Really enjoyed this video Doc. Ruby might take the crown for loudest patient on AC. Her antics were silly and I loved every bit of that. Your interaction with her was priceless! Thanks for holding this last minute premiere. It was a lot of fun!

Man why havent i heard of this channel before? This is awesome man, the only chiropractor ive seen for animals only works with horses which is still cool but helping all these different animals is amazing the knowledge you have taken in makes the world a better place weather its because you make these animals feel better or bring the people of your community together. I feel every adjustment! Wow! Wish my old husky had this help. He passed away due to pain and weakness in his left hip. He also had a fused vertebra in his back. All this with his first owner who gave up dog to humane society when he was older and just too much for them, plus he had a skin condition, arthritis and weakness in left rear leg that turned in due to out of joint left hip. The vets didn't seem to think the hip was an issue. They just saw an old dog and treated his skin and a growth in one ear. I gave him supplements and a pain med for the arthritis twice a day. His skin condition got better, his general health was good, but his hip dysplasia finally got so bad he didn't want to get up and walk and he was in pain if I helped him up. I was so sad because I couldn't lift him myself and I felt like we were out of time. It is so sad to feel like you failed an animal but that is exactly how I feel. Imagine how all this could have been different if I had taken him to someone who recognized the importance of his condition and actually helped the dog! I guess if I had a do-over, I would see if a surgeon could do a hip replacement on his left hip. I now believe his structural situation would have required surgery and I just wasn't aware of that a couple years ago. Also, he was 13 almost 14 and there are some vets who will treat an older dog and operate if needed because health wise, this dog was in good health. I so wish I could undo time and fix this but I cannot. Just learn from it. It gladdens my heart to see your channel and see you help animals with structural problems get better! Thanks so much for helping them and making their lives better, longer, and more pain-free!

Wow u really did an amazing job on Ruby. U can really tell that your doing it right cuz even when it gets a little painful at times u can see the relief on her face as she relaxes. U cannot fix that joint thats fused but u can tell that the posture is much better and she walks a lot better. She seems to be even put a little bit more weight on her bad leg so i am impressed

Lucky Ruby with a caring Mom and a dynamite, generous, gifted and kind chiro. I could feel my own back and legs being stretched along with Ruby's. What a marvelous doggie!!! Her Mom keeps her in good shape!! Glossy coat, bright eyes. Not easy to do when you have a 9 yo doggie with hip problems!! Obviously, lots of Love and attention given. Kudos to all!!
