#10 NC State vs #7 Georgia | Winner To College World Series | 2024 College Baseball Highlights

- NC State Baseball and Georgia Baseball played in game 3 of the Athens Super Regional in the 2024 College Baseball Postseason. The winner would advance to the College World Series in Omaha and face Kentucky on Saturday afternoon in the opening round.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

my uncles the pitching coach for nc state, clint chrysler, so as a family member this is such a rush of emotions for me but i freaking love it
state is gonna be dangerous in omaha. they’re that team that isn’t great on paper, but you don’t wanna play them in a winner-take-all game

Nc state catcher working back there is a thing of beauty
One of the three finalists for the Johnny Bench award for the best collegiate catcher. The other two are from lesser known schools (I can't name them). It would be hard to imagine that either of them are better than State's catcher.

NC State is an explosive team that can go yard and score a lot of runs.Pitching gave up 5 runs to the Dawgs though I loved those breaking balls they kept throwing.Kentucky vs NC State going to be good 👍.🛞 the edit with the pitchers enjoy watching that.

UGA never should’ve been a national seed. Middling SEC team that was fading at the end of the season, then was gifted a slate of weak regional opponents. NC State exposed their pitching. Well done ‘Pack. Hope to see y’all in the last game in OMAHA!
Same could be said about the Noles in football. For UGA to do this with their new head coach is exciting to see at least. Pulling for another ACC team is lame tho.

Nc state also took advantage of the ball down the middle, with 10 home runs against Georgia a team that was projected to be hitting all the home runs. 🤡🫵

4 ACC teams and 4 SEC teams. First time since 1948 that only two conferenced are represented. I would not call that goid for the sport.
NC State coach was talking to Ben McDonald after the game and mentioned a game he called in the College World Series. Said it was a travesty of a game and it sounded like he said, “Pac 13 game”. I know that’s not what he said but he has a drawl and I couldn’t make out what he was referencing. Anyone know what game he was talking about?
He said pack 13 game, it was in 2021 college World Series, nc state was in the winners bracket. Had just beaten Vandy, but then their team tested positive for covid and some of them couldn’t play, even some that didn’t test positive still weren’t allowed to play. So that left Nc state with 13 players including pitchers to play against Vandy in the semifinals. They had a pitcher, Sam highfill, who pitched against Georgia this weekend on Saturday playing first base in 2021 against Vandy. They lost 3-1 I think and then they were supposed to play an winner take all game to go to the college World Series championship vs Vandy but the ncaa kicked them out bc of the covid thing and Vandy advanced. It was a real screw job, I’m an nc state fan and that might be on of the worst things that’s ever happened. Probably the worst.
As long as aTm gets embarrassed in Omaha I will be happy.

the top teams in conference are threatening to leave and the top teams IN the conference aren’t even beating the top SEC nor B1G teams, as the backups of Florida State got routed by the backups of Georgia-a litmus test to see how much depth they have-0. Miami and Mario Cristobal is an overrated 8-4 or 7-5 waiting to happen and Dabo Sweeny will realize that he better take some transfers once he gets spanked by Georgia week 1.
if anything, I see SMU going to the national championship based off NIL and having a viable coaching staff alone, much sooner than the other 3.
