- Evansville Baseball and Tennessee Baseball played in game 3 of the Knoxville Super Regional in the 2024 College Baseball Postseason. The winner would advance to the College World Series and face Florida State in the opening round, with North Carolina and Virginia also on that side of the bracket.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

I can’t remember ever seeing a game with this many balls that were absolutely effin hammered. Of course there have been many games with this amount of hits, maybe even homers, but the percentage of jaw-dropping velo off the bat is something I can’t recall ever seeing for an entire game.

I got the rare opportunity to watch this one on TV. The 2 announcers couldn't stop talking about how Evansville came back last night and won. They showed the Evansville coach so many times, I thought I was watching Taylor Swift at a Chief's game. They just went on and on about Evansville making a comeback tonight. Before you knew it, it was 12-1 and they kinda had to give up on their underdog comeback hopes. Go Vols!

I mean they're a school with 1,700 people enrolled. It's one of the greatest stories in sports this year, and they're also the first 4 seed to win a game against a 1 seed in a super regional.

It was absolutely ridiculous, I swear half the game they was either talking about Evansville or our 22" series loss against ND, it was exhausting to set through as a fan

Gotta win your conference, (as I highly doubt they were at large), then win a regional (where guess what I guarantee you the other three teams were Power 5 monsters), then to take the Vols to a winner take all game? Evansville's coach made some poor pitching decisions in Saturdays game. These decisions came back to bite him in this game. He had some tired arms out there. Then again, maybe he just needed to do whatever he could to stay alive and survive another day.
UE fan impressed with the Vols program and fan base. Wes Carroll got through this season with hitting. Nick Smith was supposed to be the staff ace and had thoracic outlet syndrome. Deverman is a frosh who was supposed to be the mid-week starter. Schultz almost was the ace but he really isn't. There never really ws a 3 starter so, yeah ... tournaments will deplete pitching that wasn't particularly good in the first place. You don't see very many Aces games that were 2-1 scores. The Aces have never gone this deep in the tournament. They hit the wall after a whole tournament in partisan ballparks.

Evansville got so unlucky running into Tennessee in the super regionals. They definitely could have made it to Omaha if they played a couple other teams that was a hell of a team. They're bats never quit. They just didn't have pitching depth at all
