Did one of these Pvc ceilings today, my firm fits them to all the contract bathrooms. I've found the best method is a drywall screw at a slight angle secures them well and pulls them tight together.
When I installed a similar ceiling in our previous house. I fastened a batten around the room at the ceiling height, painted it black, then attached the edge pieces just slightly lower than the batten bottom edge. This produced a shadow line which I thought looked quite attractive. Doing something similar would have given you the opportunity to eliminate your small addition. I had one advantage in that I was lowering the ceiling so my cross joists simply rested on the edge strips and when fitting the last panel I was simply able to push the whole ceiling up enough to clip on the panel and drop it back in place.
Looks lovely Tim, hard to see the close up finish via YT is it the White Wood “ finish from Principality? & would you recommend it to cover an existing artex bathroom ceiling instead of plasterboarding over the top?
Did one of these ceilings 2 years ago. I used 13mm wood screws at an Angle instead of glue and staples. Worked a treat. I believe it was the same stuff.. It's still there and a quick wipe every 6 months or so and it should last forever ish. 😇
I put them up in my new bathroom, i used small screws ( no adhesive) what a pleasure no painting in future, mould resistant. One question; why not do the ceiling before the shower glass, much easier. Cheers from South Africa.
I sealed mine on the inside as long as you don’t seal the 30mm horizontal piece that sits on the bath edge it should drain out. I found out the hard way.
We use the same panels on glamping pod bathroom ceilings. Leave a 1mm gap at the edges EBT or sticks all in the back then 4mm bead of silicon around the edges. If you cut through the back face it will bend around curve's and helps to get the last run in.
First, I hope all is going well with family, cabin and animals …in that order.
Thanks for your content
Worked very very hard Tim, you’re a great role model for us all
you are too kind!

Love your work 👍

I am interested in doing this, how well has it held up so far?
What is the brand of these PVC panels?
An ad from Hand-I-Craft popping up the middle of this was a bit surreal!

There was a couple of weeks between the two so just needed to install what was sat there ready. Didn’t really get if the way. 👍
I use very small screws instead of staples they sink in just fine to allow the next tongue in,much stronger too.
Hi Tim, those ceiling panels are exactly what I’ve been looking for - can you link to where they can be found? Many thanks
We bought from principality plastics, same place as the wall panels.
I’m getting withdrawal symptoms. Need more please !
Can you post a link to the ceiling product you used, please?
Thanks in advance! 🙂

👍👍👍👍👍
Won't steel staples rust in a bathroom? Or do you use special galvanised staples?
They are galv but pretty sure they could all fail and the multi stick would do just fine.

Trust that light fitting is temporary, as this is not enclosed. So not approved for. bathroom zones.
Why fit the screen then the celing ?, Or do you like making things hard for your self
Because a working shower for a couple of weeks with an unfinished ceiling went down better with the family! 😅
