- Musical greetings from the North Sea mermaid! You can hear the wind softly blowing its eolian song in the strings of my little harp at the beginning of the video .
This is a waterproof, shock resistant Air Serenity harp made with carbon fiber by Heartland - no instrument was harmed during this video shoot!

It’s been a while I wanted to take this beauty of a tail to the beach and the conditions were just perfect. Nothing better than play harp in the sun while being gently massages by the wave. Would do this again anytime!

I love my Heartlands. Practically indestructible and no trade-off in sound or tension. I wouldn’t have travelled to the beach with any other instrument (and they survive hot car trunks too) Yes they are lightweight and it takes a little adjustment but you can use a strap (included with the harps) to stabilise them while playing. I think the benefits outweigh the downsides but it’s a matter of habit maybe.

@@Retierdlife4me The harps are pretty cool but apparently the maker is very unreliable (according to the seller I talked to when I considered buying one) and read about complaints from others online too. No idea if that was a temporary thing or what is going on with the maker. I would read up on newer reviews/comments before considering to buy a harp from them

Wonderfully done as always! You're awesome! I hope your leg injury is recovering nicely. One thing I hate about getting older is that it's so easy to injure yourself. I miss how when I was 20, or even 30 years old if I injured myself I could identify the cause. Now it's "I don't know, I think reaching for the toothbrush too fast", haha. Anyways, hope you're doing well!

I had to give up on most of my usual activities due to this but I can stand, walk, play music and do the mermaid without pain - so it could be worse 🤷♀️ hope you are doing ok, please take good care ❤️❤️❤️
@@mariannebouvettemusic Other than the usual aches and pains in my knees and back that I've gotten used to, things aren't too bad. I hope you don't have to give up on martial arts permanently since I know you loved doing it. I know after some injuries I was able to get back to doing some form of what I loved after physical therapy.
I'm finally recovering from a sinus problem I've had since April of last year. I had pain behind my right eye due to it. Basically what it felt like is, imagine eating ice cream super fast, you get a bad ice cream headache but you keep eating until you finish the whole container. It felt like that kind of pain.
I had a weird injury a few weeks ago. I fell and landed weird and my wrist bent in an odd way. I'm recovering now but for a few days it was a weird kind of pain. My arm felt SO COLD, like it was absolutely freezing, even though the air was warm, it hit weird nerves and sent pain signals that my brain interpreted as frostbite cold. I remember after the injury thinking "for once, I'm glad I don't have a lot of musical ideas right now".

Thanks a lot Brad! It was actually a very enjoyable experience! The weather was perfect and there were lots of passersby stopping to enjoy the music... makes you forget all the scratchy sand! I definitely want to do this again! :)
