I also have MM (blood cancer). I was diagnosed at stage 3 in a country called Oman. I have had it for 5 years. It is incurable and it and the chemo drains you of your energy and your motivation. So what George did for this woman and her family is remarkable. By the way, I look after myself and I have no complaints. Kudos to George.

It’s a righteous thing that you and the team are doing and while I realise that the videos are a wee bit older but for me they are great to watch. 👍⭐️👍
This darker concept works well because she has 3 huge windows over the kitchen sink and a large sliding glass door, allowing for natural light. Also the back splash is just beautiful. Maybe I missed it,but one thing I not see or stated to be done for a counter top. Is stone cut counter top. Ones that you can create to. Be cool to see this done. As family designs it.
My mom passed away from a car accident and my first child, my daughter was diagnosed with blood cancer. She is not telling me anything about it so I don't know if they gave her a life expectancy. I'm praying God heals you and her.
This isn't meant to sound harsh... Doctor's once thought I had this same cancer of the blood.... about a month later they ruled it out... During that month I did a lot of reading on it... there are like 6 or 7 factors that increase your chances of getting it.... 2 of them apply to her children, A.) You have a family member with it. B.) You’re overweight or obese.... Both children look tall for their ages, but no matter the height, it's obvious they both are overweight ... been there myself, so I'm not judging anyone... just hope with their mom already having it, they get good advice on how to manage their own health...
Where did the grouping of family pictures go that they HAD in the mom & dads bedroom...might be just me but I'd be upset that they didn't find a special place for my family pictures... Also hope they didntthrow away the furniture that was in the parents bedroom, some of it appeared to have been sentimental.
This is a great show! I love that there are people out there willing to help others who are so deserving of help. I hope the mom continues to keep on keeping on, and that the family gets healthy together. It appears they're all overweight, some more than others, and that's a shame because that's a health problem in and of itself, one they don't need. Over-eating is often caused by excessive stress and then the body hoards calories, but they're not doing themselves or their fellow family members any favors by getting unhealthy themselves! I know this is probably a "bad" comment given the circumstances, but honestly, they need to start eating better and lose weight as a family. They'll all be better off, including mom. Her body has enough issues that it's fighting right now. Being obese is NOT helpful.
even if her weight isnt related to her illness.. I dont think its the time to takle it.. her body is fighting enough. And to try to get down in weight is very very hard for the body :)
She died in 2011 so that "good advice" comes a little late... Also, the comment above is right. When you struggle already so much, restricting your diet isn't Always the best either... Food can be a relief and enjoyment.
There are things that happen to you in life that you have no control over. I had melanoma cancer. I served 21 years in the Marine Corps as an infantry officer with 3 years in combat. Every day of those 3 years I had no control over what would happen too me. But I did have an operation to remove the melanoma and it was successful before it spread. I was lucky. But because of my Marine Corps training, I understood that keeping in good physical shape and preventing in becoming over weight, eating healthy, and maintaining my vitamin balance was important. However, way too many people are grossly overweight and have no regard to their future health as they grow older. The grossly overweight couple in this video is just asking to die sooner rather than later.
I think in this case the appliances were past their use by date, and the cabinets were not solid hard wood, not recyclable or reusable when they are really old and made out of laminated particle board. Dont worry, Im sure they make an assessment about what is reusable and donatable and whats not. Well now that they are keeping some stuff in tact to donate
I really hate most granites and gold granites are literally the ugliest of all. They really should've gotten a proper designer for this, the kitchen is pretty ugly. The hideous tiles and the countertop ruined it
I have been binge watching George, and the shows are great, but the camera work on this episode is so awful that my vertigo has kicked in and I feel dizzy and nauseas. Its like watching one of those real amateur vids on You Tube, where the camera moves far to fast, then all the sliding screens and 4-6 bits of vids on the one screen, like who can possibly absorb that many vid clips all running on the one screen? Editing and camera work really bad, I stopped watching at 20 mins and went straight to reveal, could not watch it either, camera flying about all over the place, honestly, this really is awful!
@Jessa Callahayre Exactly right, my mum has it too, it's an incurable blood cancer, once it gets into the bones... she is having treatment now, but the first round made her really ill, and going for another round before fully recovering, Im really very worried for her. Also Im so very sorry to hear your mum has passed away, from this terrible disease, & Im all too aware, like the lady & her family in this rescue, when they were told that this is a terminal disease, (from what I know, with a life expectancy of usually only about 5 years from when it gets into the bones,) that there may not be much time left... ((Well it seems like they have been luckier than most and maybe she hasnt got it in her bones yet, Im not sure, but apparently, thank The Lord, she has survived longer than expected.)) But it's very sad & upsetting. I get upset seeing a cat or dog or bird in pain or suffering much less seeing people suffering and in pain, and now with actually being in treatment how it has had such bad side effects I dont know how she can handle more and Im panicked she could get bad again before getting better, and she will be suffering more for nothing. I know I have to trust in God because He is the great healer and physician, and everything is in His hands. But Im not well myself and have a heavy heart to deal with it, like the sorrowful heavy way that the nembers of this family look when the mother talks about the illness and bleak prognosis
