love seeing these Italian American ostensibly tough guys who potentially know someone helpful in waste management be the absolute sweetest when it comes to helping the community, and kids in particular.
I'm a donor for St . Jude's Hospital myself and I love George how he will go out and help other people who he will help in every community too ❤️❤️❤️🎚️🎚️🎚️☝️☝️☝️🙏🙏🙏 . Love your Brother Ty from Mountain Home , Arkansas
there is no upper limit for how much we should fund children's hospitals, everywhere in the world. my little brother had cancer as a baby in the 70s, had radical surgery at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne and stayed & was treated for a long time, and like so many others, my family's lives would've been forever broken if they hadn't saved him. when a child dies, a whole family and community dies in part too, and we need to always strive to do better for children's wellbeing, and support the healthcare systems that ultimately save us all.
My fave parts of these are that George and the crew see people- they see each person and their family. We can’t always fix a problem- but we can make sure i are seen and loved.
Why would you not support hospitals that are trying to save the lives of our kids? Thank you George for making this world a brighter place for these kids.
Near the end, when Everett was talking about the room, and grabbed George's hand and pulled it back around his chest..that showed how loved that child felt. Beautiful.
Manny so cute. He said "THANK GEORGE" "THANK YOU GEORGE." "THANK YOU GEORGE !!!!!" Anyway i must say George is so amazing with kids and they love him. God bless you George Oliphant and brilliant/caring team. Ending that blooper part was funny.
Who has the right to complain about a slight headache????? Look at these children who are in deep critical health and they are smiling and accepting every minute of pain and uncomfortableness. They smile with great appreciation for all the people who care for them... hope everyone of them receive a blessing miracle and get healthy. This a heartbreaking episode. Thank you to all the Dr.s and nurses who care for the, daily.
This is a fantastic hospital that I, as a young teen was a patient back in the 1960's. It was so terrific to see it is still open and still has a dedicated staff. George, you and your volunteers did a fantastic job for a hospital that truly serves Paterson's people with open hands and hearts!
These kids all touched my heart but Manny especially...I lost my nephew to double leukemia in 1999. What these AMAZING kids endure is beyond what we can ever imagine...💔😢💔 Special blessings to all of them as well as their care givers and parents...☝️❤☝️
I just love the show and you couldn’t have picked a better host. George is such an awesome funny caring guy and he ooses with charisma! and these volunteers do a terrific job😍
I gotta say... George has a beautiful wife and she is generously beautiful from inside out! George's personality and awesomeness is a reflection of having a fantastic life partner...I really believe that! When I see someone achieve so much, I know that there is someone beside them in life encouraging and loving them. So thank you, George, for the inpspiration you give to so many and for having the right partner in life that keeps you going. She deserves a huge thank-you, too!
I think the parents definitely room needed a small couch, these mums need more than hard chairs, a coffee table for their book or cool drink, a little fridge where they can pop their lunch from home( too expensive to buy cafe food every day ).a bench to have a coffee / tea making area, in the main area maybe some bean bags or other easy to clean seating ideas , I think there was more seating before the makeover.....I think the staff should always play a big part in planning a room like this, they use it every day and know what is lacking or helpful.
beckyluvstoscrapnsew I would agree but everything has to be to hospital/ICRA standards. (Infection Control Risk Assessment). Furniture has to be easily cleaned and durable.
Great Video George. Loved it. Very sweet and touching stories and videos. I love you and your channel. You are a great guy and I love how you help and take care of these families and especially ones like this video. Hugs to you and God Bless you.
So Beautiful for children they all look so Happy to see a peaceful place where they all can ease there pain for moment and the mother can go in there comfort zones to relax and still keep eye on there child. My God bless all the children to get better so they go back home to there room. Also Beautiful how the doctors Nurse spend time in the room with the children play cards and games with children. True blessing Thank all Nurses and Doctors for having carrying heat for the children 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
14:15 The real deal; Inlay and linoleum welding. 14:21 And the second cut with the moon-knife. Actually, it is the first time I have seen this in a closeup in a broadcast entertainment program. 14:51 This low emission doesn't interfere with that delicious smell of freshly installed linoleum. 20:33 With these Ty-Vibes I was totally expecting Gorge to yell; "Doorman MOVE That DOOOORRR!!
Can I make a suggestion to the many people who love George's videos? I can't understand how this channel has only 21,000 subscribers while there are channels with millions of subscribers where all the content is make up application or videos of someone playing video games. Please "like" these videos, comment, subscribe, and talk this channel up to your friends and family. There is so much negativity in the world, let's do a small part to promote George's work and channel!
Manny: I love Handy Manny George: You love Handy Manny, I love Handy Manny Me: I haven't seen that show since I was 5, I also totally forgot about that show
There's nowhere for the parents to sit and cuddle with their kids. The mom with 2 boys needs a couch to sit on to comfort both her boys. They should have put that in the white room, made it a quiet room.
Alison Shanahan Totally agree.Somewhere to make drinks with wouldn’t have come amiss either,it’s a long wait and very expensive if you have to go to the cafeteria (and you then have to leave your children)Putting a little bookcase in the white room would offer an alternative to computers.
Sadly it has to comply with hospital standards so a place to make hot drinks and a coach could be unsanitary. It would off been lovely if they could of put those in there but it isn't always possible. Hope you have a great day!
George, you were scrapping that old plaster off and it was flying like crazy EVERYWHERE. WHERE WERE YOUR SAFETY GLASSES? You started with them ... but they disappeared. Great choice for rescue.
I have to say, I thought this could have been better. I expected a TV so the kids can watch something to take their minds off of what was happening to them. It didn't look kid friendly. I looked just like a room in the hospital with a new coat of paint. Sorry George.
Hospitals makes a lot of money of these kids. The least they can do is update themselves. They sound like a hospital in a War zone in third world countries. What a shame.
You know st.Joseph’s hospital is a nonprofit hospital right meaning parents pay little to nothing at all, So some expenses are more important so in this case there expenses for medicine and other devices to help the kids live. So updating a room that was functional (not amazingly but working) is not high on importance
This is a real Catholic hospital that serves many of the homeless and minorities and that has been its history as long as I can remember growing up in NJ. It offered the BEST in medical care by dedicated Sisters, lay medical nurses and doctors and technicians and didn't have funds for "fancy drapings". It was always super clean and know for being a GREAT facility back in the 1960's. So glad to see it hasn't lost its heart or soul to corporate America and may it never!
@@seet242 thank you for the explanation. Its just odd for us foreigners to see the richest country in the world have such shabby medical facilities especially when Healthcare is free in nearly EVERY other country in the world

32 inches really?
Well. In 2010, when this episode was aired, 32 inches was a quite decent size on a TV...
