      T25 duct taped to the inside on a 1/4 inch wrench loop. Also undo the cable holders for the giant wire bundle and bungie it up out of the way. The airlines move them over of the way too.

    It’s not coming off even with the PCs valve off. Is there a special angle that I have to perform with the valve cover? I tried everything. Still that thing at the back hinders when I lift the cover on many angles.

    • @Steve_Edberg
      @Steve_Edberg 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you get the last bolt in the middle of the backside of the valve cover?? Or it might be sticking on the spark plug tubes.

  • @ericeller9165
    @ericeller9165 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I just fought a JK to get the covers off. Broke the PCV deliberately as the nutserts spun in the cover and wouldn't release. Also couldn't get the alignment dowels out and had to break the cover off.

    Wow, that 3.6L V6 is a problem smh. But I do you typically clean the engine bay of dirt/grim before exposing the valve train? I drives me nuts if I don’t do it, I simply don’t want that stuff to fall in there.

    • @goforbroke2
      @goforbroke2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The customer isn’t paying you to clean their engine bay. You have cars to fix to get those hours in to make $.
      I’m willing to bet you’d have a few customers complain if you cleaned their engine bay 😂.
      Personal car is different though.

      If it's real bad under the hood I'll give it a good hose down, then hit it with some air. Mainly to get rid of the loose stuff. Only takes a couple minutes.
      Thats what I would do on my own vehicles... so its what I do for others. No one has ever complained... repeat business is everything.
