architecturally, I don't understand they designed and built the stadium with an oval shape in the first place.. that severely reduced the potential capacity by not filling up the corners.. now, to increase the current capacity to 80k, I think most of the architects would just correct this anomaly by rebuilding the upper stand corners to all be at the same height and will end up with a squarish design like most other stadiums.. it's going to be cheaper and will create a lot of new indoor space on all for corners to have new restaurants, etc.
How many years did it take them because the two stadiums look the same ❤
They need to return to standing areas in some parts of the ground. With sections of the ground incorporating 'safety barriers' it could be done!
