I play that course a few times a year and it is brutally tough. Kyle made it look easy and he was playing from the tips (a view with which I am not familiar)! Watching him play a course that I am familiar with was really cool and a real eye opener because it looks so different on film. Well played Kyle!
I think I joined when you had less than 5k subs. This channel is growing very fast. That’s a huge testament to your VERY hard work. You are really putting out tons of content and many times when a channel ups the videos and uploads the content quality suffers and that is definitely not the case with you. Man you are a joy to watch play golf and you commentary has always been very good and even improving. Keep up the great work Kyle and I can’t wait to check out your merchandise store. Thank you for sharing all this great golf with us. I think you made a big point about rough. Most casual golfers don’t see what true rough is like that the pros face. I have played quite a few championship courses and some in Major conditions. I played Bethpage Black 3-4 weeks after the US Open in 2009 when they left the course in the same condition the rest of the summer. I’ve also played Shinnecock Hills in similar conditions. You learn that the fairway is your friend and even the best amateurs Have issues even getting the ball on or close to greens on these courses under those conditions.
As a MD golfer, loving these local course vlogs. But geez, for the reputation and history at Bulle Rock it looks like they have a major bluegrass/goosegrass outbreak.
My 2 favorite pieces of golf advice. 1. Lee Trevino (never met him). Find a swing you can repeat consistently. 2. Fred Couples (met him three times at the Memorial Tournament, my brother was a sportswriter and we had press passes). When I'm at my best, I have a swing I can repeat and know exactly my ball is going to go.
Bingo. As long as you can replicate your swing and ball flight scores drop quickly. If you can be consistent with your misses and know where your misses go is also a huge help. Once I only started missing in one direction and eliminated my miss left it’s a huge confidence boost. That’s allowed me to start shooting in the 70’s regularly compared to being a 16-18 handicap when I was playing some army golf and had both left and right misses.
Was here when you had less than 100 followers. I think you should’ve celebrated that putt on three more. All the positives matter, don’t forget to enjoy small victories.
Hey Kyle it's not about "if" you can play good pro league and more, it's about "how" you can reprogram yourself to only hit the ball when you feel it totally square. At your point you're so much in between 2 extreme with long range stance that I would really pay some one to hypnotise me to reprogram my intention because it's all about what you can imagine and feel than you can do as every experience before, cause it's all about experience and long process as I'm so glad to hear from yourself, but succès come from there I changed my life really quick with reprogrammation. From half broken to successful really curious and welling to learn and grow than subconscious reprogrammation was the laser one catalyser for everything a wante... Hope you give it a shot it's 2020 everybody know about it!

Bunker shots like that at 18:21, i tend to just try and hit the ball as if i was trying to hit a ball on a footpath. just clipping the ball and no ground. PS great video!
Absolutely love Bulle Rock but have terrible memories there, had an IJGT event there like 7 years ago and shot 82 with 45 putts, those greens can get you easily when they're rolling like they normally do for tournament play (around 12 on stimp) Edit: Congrats on 60k, jealous of all the awesome courses you've been playing recently!!
My home course! Glad to see you played it. Unfortunately the course wasn't in anywhere near the condition it's supposed to be in after tons of rain and the hurricane and obviously aeration. Come back in the fall when it all fills in and the wind kicks back up and see how you fair!
At 18:56, can you walk me through your thought process grabbing the 60 degree vs a bump and run with a pitching wedge or a 9 iron? Love the content, already looking forward to 70k!
I've only seen a handful of Kyle's videos but he seems to grab the 60 degree quite often around the greens. I think he feels more comfortable using that club and has confidence in what it's going to do when it hits the putting surface.
Kyle, I actually played Bulls Rock when it first opened! Great course but it played just a tad longer for me (lol). I noticed that almost all of your drivers had a spin rate over 3000 rpm. Have you ever been fit for your course playing driver?
Observations..Set your goals much higher as the mental aspect carries you to that number. Putting showed signs of improvement. 50 degree wedge from 120 tells me that you are learning that you can’t whale on your wedges. Attitude is as good as ever. Short game around greens can really improve on your scores if you can get to the elite level of up and down conversion rate. It’s not that difficult to do; think hole out instead of getting close. Nice video.

I think what would be helpful in your commentary is describe why you chose the particular club for each of your shot and what you were trying to accomplish. For instance you have different lofts used for wedge shot it would helpful to know why you chose a particulate lofted club.
I watched your video ,I'm heading down there to play this course, I just noticed iplay like you long and then 60 degree anywhere from around the green just I'll score in the high 80's when I'm on I'll play like you for 5 holes then the next 2 I'll play like I've never played before also my 60 degree is getting old but have do much confidence in it but need to upgrade do you suggest a vokley ?
How do you hit a 2 iron??!!?? Inspired by your game I purchased a 2 iron that match my set its a RAC Taylor Made and I was super excited until I brought it to the course.. Lol Any tips on hitting it.. I hit a 4 iron consistent for 190-210 yds..

My friend works there and we play all the time, that rough is the hardest thing for average and below golfers
