Don't forget the message in the method. I don't think there was a better ending for being a fascist for 30 minutes. I like how these side activities are hidden inside the game for you to uncover, and there is no right way to complete them.
Kim only has the outburst if you choose the first options in final dialogue. All four other options lead to collected and measured reaction. Just like that time Harry fails to shoot Cunoese, Kim is surprisingly calm. There is even a way to get praised by Kim here if you incorporate sobriety into your fascism
The Voice acting to me was top notch and I am glad they decided to add this in the final cut as it gave the game more life than if they decided to keep it as it was when it was launched.
I hated every second whenever I had to make a racist comment even though they are fictional characters, I still had feelings for them and Kim is the coolest partner one could ever hope for😊
what I love about this the most is that it's a sort of piss-take/dissection of the "hustlers university" type of philosophy, which depressed people (primarily men) end up getting sucked into these sort of "grand cause, become stoic, take on the world" mentaility by trying to make wrongs right through "restoring glory and tradition", only to be told by kim to basically "shut the fuck up idiot"
I agree. This goes to show how much our uprising and life experience affect our philosophy in life, and this game just shows the different ideologies to understanding life from socialisim to communism. It's unfortunate that Racism is there among these thoughts, but that is just a reflection of the world we live in. Revachol is truly a well crafted universe made by the developers.
Playing this way, with 28 points in fascism and -13 in good/bad cop is breaking my heart.. but i gotta see it through once.. anyay thanks for the video, it was helpful. I had already talked to the paledriver, so all options were gray. Turns out i just had to talk to her about the pale again.
That's the downside to this story but its amazing how things escalated with Measurehead when you choose to support his ideology. goes to show you how much thought has gone into writing this story.
gotta respect how despite being hard leftists, the writers put their time to come up with a fascist story line that goes beyond the concepts we all heard about and try to shape an underlying philosophy
It's kinda interesting how one of the most mindblowing and out there quests in the entire game is relegated to the moralist/centrist faction while the communist get a book club, lol.
@@Solaire_of_Astora13 tbh I think the reason was they wanted to expand upon moralism and how passively evil such an ideology is. When it comes to fascism it is inherently regressive and past oriented ideology that fits Harry wishing to return to a similar and older time before he ruined himself and his chance at love. Communism meanwhile is an attempt to move forward from the current time towards a new era that may at times seem fantastical but is necessary as the current present is a stagnant hell in which hope is smothered. Tldr: moralism is maintaining the present by any means necessary (at the behest of capital), fascism is moving back into the past due to nostalgia goggles, and communism is hoping and working towards a future because the present sucks shit and the past was even worse.
@@Sablus Fascism =/= Reactionarism. Fascism is just Italian Ultranationalism that originally came from a combination of Syndicalism and Nationalism, not some goofy Evolian "we need to go back to the past" ideology.
@@soulsidejourney2693 Non-italian fascists do exist. You could debate that, but you'd be very much in the minority. Fascism is, by most definitions ultra-nationalist. This comes part and parcel with historical justifications and nostalgia.
Kim is a great character and believe me this racist run was not something I picked intentionally however, the game wanted us to explore all these different ideologies and the task name itself gives away what type of ideology this thought really is, it called "Turn back the wheels of time". I have yet to play the new expansion of the game but I do hope we get more from this universe in the future Thanks to Zaum Studio for this amazing RPG.
Besides the pseudoscientific race enigma bs , measurehead actually gives pretty poignant advice here. You cannot dwell on the past, you must forge your own path , very reminiscent of Nietzsche’s philosophy
The hardest part for me during this playthrough was being rude to Kim. For me going to a meeting room to discuss life and thoughts on race with measurehead was quite surprising too.
look, if you REALLY want it, you can see this quest as self development for harry. i mean, you would only have to disagree a lot of times with the fascists and measurehead, also dont say to kim youre the icebreaker, tell him you can withstand all temptations(you clearly dont), that way he asks you: "including alcohol?" and you say: "including alcohol." that way he thinks something good came out of this thing youve been feeding yourself
That particular outburst by Kim is completely out of place. It's not logical for him to say that in response to what Harry said considering all the other gibberish Harry says and Kim didn't care. Now if they were in a serious situation and Harry wouldn't stop goofing off, it would make sense for Kim to say "for duck's sake shut up already!" Hey did y'all notice that Harry Kim is the name of the tragic perpetual ensign from Star Trek Voyager?
This is a good coincidence, I wonder if the developers did this on purpose, though 🤔🤔. I haven't seen Star Trek before, so I wouldn't know Harry Kim's role in the series.
@@Aboelsasshow guess I could do another moded run to see if there’s a dialogue option but I’m convinced there isn’t a *check* seeing as I couldn’t find anything online about it.
I missedtalkjing to Joyce about this. Have i locked myself out of completing this task? Or will doing the checks for the lorry driver and Rene do the trick?
Lets give it a go shall we. Talk to the racist lorry driver and Rene before talking to Measurehead about doing it for Revachol (red logic check). then go talk to Measurehead about turning back time - he will say that you need to know reality. This is where Joyce conversation plays part as she explains it to you. Make sure to have a suggestion skill high enough to promote a conversation. Let me know how that worked out for you. Good Luck m8. 💪
I can't recall what I did to get the red buff (on the Portrait). I did multiple playthroughs and can't put together what triggered it. I'll let you know if I find/remember anything about it.
So you mean to tell me an entire 30 minute dramatic storyline is undone by kim yelling at you once? Perfect.

measurehead's VA did such a magnificent weird reading, everything he says just is out there with the cadence, pronunciation, and strange pauses

Lifting the weight in the abandoned gym also gives a +1 to the suggestion check with measurehead
Thanks for sharing this O J. yeah the possibilities are endless in this game. I doubt two people can make an identical walk-through
Thank you. I was curious about the story, but I could never let Kim down like that…

Its really easy to be fascist and good-cop (in game)

It's definitely one of the best written scripts in gaming and the effort spent to add such detailed dialogues for each political direction is amazing.

I love how you steel your face into a reflection of noble suffering and the first thing Kim notices is that you look constipated 😂
I wonder what the endgame screen says if you lose your health during the "Look at yourself" scene
I think it was like when you drink yourself to death. A detective found dead in his room in an deserted villlage; something like that.
Just got this on accident and idk what that says about me lmfao, looked it up when I saw only 0.4% of players unlock the achievement.

Wait. Is there a conversation with Measure head where you convince him "it's all shit?"
I think it is worth exploring and the more you read books in game the more you are persuasive against characters such as measure head.
