Seeing all those high level checks, and all the extra info/stuff they provide (like Electrochemistry vs Volition, or apparently saying you killed the hanged guy being the best option) is fascinating, ty for this vid
Did you know you can learn about Ruud before the Tribunal happens by failing the pain threshold check when facing Ruby with knowledge of the Tribunal from Joyce? It gives you another question to ask there and I'm curious to see a Max Stat on that.
@@The41stPrecinct Yes ! Kim says something along the lines of "She was right, there is indeed a third mercenary !" instead of being purely surprised. I don't remember if it gives a +1 on one of the checks, though.
I rember "doing it". I was 100% DE and one achievment required to not inspect the corpse AT ALL. After the tribunal, I was like 'oh, what the hell', made a save and checked it. When it comes down to shooting the cables, you still ask for Kim's pistol. Honestly, I don' t really rember if I equiped it, but im preeeety sure i did

I'm surprised there's not an outcome for having both the Spirit Bomb and your Gun. You'd think you'd be able to get something better if you could get two weapons for the fight. Kind of a shame honestly.
I mean within that span, not much Harry could have done. All three mercs were already aiming at the Hardies and the cops, and after throwing the spirit bomb he got shot by Ruud and was reeling. Even with his gun out there's no way to aim fast enough to kill Korty before he gets shot.
@@haihuynh8772 if Harry wears the Fairweather T-500 cuirass that Gary the Crypto fascist stole from the hanged man, then Rudd's shot is stopped by the armor. If you either shoot or throw the spirit bomb at Kortenaer, he doesn't die immediately, it just prevents him from killing one of the hardy boys. As he is dying, he manages to shoot Harry in the pelvis, below the ceramic armor. In a playthrough where Harry doesn't make the spirit bomb and has a gun and multiple bullets, he can take multiple shots before he is shot by Kortenaer. I believe he first shoots Kortenaer and then he can shoot Rudd. If Harry has already taken two shots, then when he warns Kim of de Paule, Kim uses his own gun.
Late to this, but this isn't quite the best outcome. It's very close! But Shanky can also survive. When you mention Joyce (the Wild Pines rep), follow up and say the company would not allow this massacre. Shanky will panic and run off, resulting in him surviving!
Huh, I got this outcome but with Shanky alive and me being way more roughed up, thought for sure I could've done better, but it seems that not by much in the end
The first time I got to here, I really did think Ruby was the killer. I failed to make an argument, then I failed to throw the bomb; I succeeded in alerting Kim to the last shot, so I didn't _immediately_ give up, but... I thought it was over. I thought I'd failed. I thought I needed to have solved the case, and then talk everyone down. I wanted to save everyone. I thought the game _persisting_ in the doomed world I had created was one final sick joke. One final thrust of the central thesis: *the sun always rises.* No matter how badly I fuck up, my failure never brings closure; I never _know_ that there's no point to continuing. Then, if one does exist, I'm saddled with the humiliation of desperately jamming pieces together trying to build something, _anything,_ worth the suffering of existence. Then I didn't see the perception orb in the Last Dream, and thought the game had broken. I deleted every save file and put the game down. I very nearly jumped on the spoiler circuit right then and there, but then I saw this video, and realised it was part of the game. Then I had the morale to try again, with frequent breaks to dissipate existential despair; and that time a lot of people still died, but I managed to solve the case and also the other thing that blows the case out of the reeds. Then I tried Übermensch and Hardcore Brute, but they got boring quickly. I think I may finally be done playing this game. My mental health may yet recover.
I can’t quite remember but I think the morning after Kim says something like “the armour took most of the damage”. I could be wrong though, not 100% on this

I didn’t know that! That’s really cool info, I’ll have a look in to it 👍

Im surprised that the armor you can get, doesnt manage to stop the bullet when it hits you in the pelvis. Is there unique dialog for that situation?
