I have a JD x370 lawn tractor that I use to mow 2+ acres. The spindles on it are nice - I’ve hit some things no issues there. However, the stamped deck bent when I hit a root working in the cemetery. The new deck shell was $$$, but I was able to move all my spindles and pulleys over to the new deck shell and it cuts evenly again. A fabricated deck is usually stronger and stiffer.
I'm thinking you're just a big kid at heart. Playing with all the big boy toys. Lol. You've come a long way from your first year. 👍 It's said when you enjoy what you're doing it's not like working at all. Keep enjoying yourself. Just stay safe. 🪵🌲
I hope it's a good mower, because I just ordered one. Maybe wouldn't have been a first choice, but getting a whooping 30% cash back on my CC. Which is insane. Like $1400..
I mow 15 acres of Christmas Trees on 7' centers to control weeds and another 10 acres of yard to maintain woodland and parkland. I highly recommend the Grasshopper 725D 61" front mount mower. Since grass and weeds can quickly get out of control, I bought two of them to avoid any lapses in mowing from breakdowns. The front-mounted deck affords excellent visibility and clearance for mowing under the tree skirt right next to the trunk. Expensive, I know, but they are highly durable and sip the fuel. The optional Grammer suspension seat and the smooth hydrostatic drive greatly reduces fatigue. This is not a paid endorsement, only an honest opinion based on at least 2000 hours on the 725D.
If you constantly are breaking spindles mowing the same property...maybe you should take care of what causes the damage instead of continue to commit the same mistake! That's a no brainer and common sense!!

I've knocked this fabricated deck into some very hard things with no issues so far.

That's a great deal.

I've seen those mowers and they look real nice.i like they also offer a rear discharge deck.
I still mow my trees with a Cud Cadet riding lawn mower. Looking into a zero turn but expensive!!
Cub not cud
Yes they sure can be pricey.

Easier said than done. It's a farm and constantly changing. We use the mower in places we probably shouldn't. That said, it's held up remarkably well.
I don't like em, the trans started leaking on one side of mine with 6 hrs on it..
That sounds really unusual. That's what warranties are for.
