Got mine from certified machine about a year and a half ago. It works really well Offroad, and it was plug and play. I didn’t have to adjust anything other than the idle.
I did this swap right after your video came out. I followed it to the letter. And it really made a huge difference in reliability of my Sami. Love the channel.
Although and you cannot call it a "performance part", most people will notice a performance difference in throttle response and power curve. Definitely happy with this product, and your video that helped me install it!
Great upgrade. Ordered from Performance Machine. Watched your install video got some Miller Highlife and got it done. Old carb was toast, this was an easy fix. Your videos are great thanks
Sir, youre perfect in field of vlog., i'd replaced my samy carb twice already ,,,2014 as 2nd owner year after i got carb problems cleaned w/ cleaners, check its cover,, 5 mech advice to replace it, 1st 5years a 2E toyota carb was fine,, 18 klmtrs to 1lit,,,no A/C, 12klmtrs w/ A/c, , trouble vacuum leak in primary valve shaft leak,, erratic idle, , 2022 replace w/ 5k carb,, no probs till now 16klmtrs = 1lit ,,not bad for a personal jeep for 65yr old retired marine gunny,,,
Had a mouse build a house on my I got it for $500 cuz of it it rusted the original sold did the swap in a hour super simple and works great I use it every day
I have a 1989 convertable SJ413 Samurai and love it. I have just had the engine fully rebuilt and also bought the 3K Toyota Carb off Certified Machine and Design, Inc., I have just finished running the new motor in and have to say the fuel consumption was not that great, but my mechanic had not fitted the spacer Grrrrr. The truck has just had a service and the spacer now fitted. Should the fuel consumption be better than the original Suzi carb? Have you ever made a video on how to tune the 3K carbi on a Samurai? Great video's by the way🙂
Would you say the 3k is better then the Weber 32/36. I have a 88.5 samurai I just put a Weber on because my friend had one. I also have a my-side 1 with a Harley carb I just need to get a new emulator for the cv carb that was on it. It has a dyna emulator in ut right now I guess. Also I was wondering my samurai highest rpm I can get it to is about 3700 rpms it’s a stick 1.3 I have found the spark advance diaphragm is bad was wondering if that cause it not to be able to hit a higher rpm
PROTIP: if you're going to be daily driving your samurai, get an original toyota 3k carb, not the chinese knockoff. I've had drill plugs fall out of passages soaking the engine with fuel, I've had throttle plate screws fall out and go through the engine, rebuild parts are rare, jets are rare... They're great for a weekend warrior but if you need reliability, get the real deal.
I'm happy I changed out mine.

Great upgrade more reliable a bit more power. Only because my Zuk sat in the woods for 18 years b4 rescue.
I have the WEBER kit. My tin top will mostly see street use
