Waters, the true Master of Subliminal Bass, few notes and only the good ones, carrying the groove solidly yet gently and all with a pick, steel fist in a velvet glow, a unit with Mason´s, the two of them serving the tune and emerging with sudden classy outburst, dolphins swimming along a boat.
I must put pompeii on at least 3 or 4 times a week, I've seen it a trillion times so it's mainly on just for background music and because it's so damn good. To hear the rhythm section alone is just insanely good, Roger and Nick are spot on 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶.
Pompeii echoes was first Floyd sing that really grabbed me.then explored all the other works before and after.I seem to be a better human because of it.
The bass tone ,and the bass lines of Roger have the right taste . Make spaces and play some melodic basslines when the song need them . Nice low midrange voice for a Precision Bass .
dude you have saved my ass here, ive been looking to find a backing track without the keys. im playing this for an upcoming gig and ive been struggling with the funky jam section as far as timing and what i should put where. you’re making my life so much easier man. seriously. thank you. 🫡

That's precisely the touch. The "errors" in technique and timing are a constant with early PF material, but I'd say that that rawness actually provided a ground and style to the development that followed.
I've never seen anyone saying that Roger is a great bass player. Gilmour is a better bass player than him, he didn't even know how to tune his bass, there's even live footage of Rick and David tuning it for him in the middle of the song
@@lurcafruitt417 true Gilmore is just a better and technical musician than waters. Waters was good at lyrics and constructing songs but rogers needed Gilmore. I mean look at animals, Gilmore bass playing was iconic

Pompeii version of the Echoes is the greatest song ever made.
6:17 Funky part, beautiful !!!

Roger is so melodic and musical bass player. So solid.

Me too listening to for 42 years, it is a masterpiece best PF top 3
@@paniranii absolutely, I prefer the live version of Echoes so much.
@@toxic_badasss9656 Of course, I prefer live too
6:20 mark is where it begins and where it is at
thank you

beutiful. melodic drumming. love that bass tone
It’s amazing to me the edginess a bass player with a pick is. Waters may have a sloppy time feel, but he always came through with the right stuff.
He improved a huge amount between the first couple of albums and this.
no. 'perfect timing' is for losers. talent is being able to play with timing.
@@bjkina AMEN. Fuck computer music
Waters puts his whole body and face into whatever note is on the downbeat. Still, to this day.
You can actually see the drummer trying to get him back on track in the video.
It's subtle but that's definitely what's happening.

it´s so cool!!!
I do love it as pf is my all time favorite but it’s got to have Dave and Rick. Can’t leave it out
Wonderfull...this is the story...
never a more fitting track for the other instruments to bleed through at times like distant echoes…
Grazie mille.
Very nice ...thanks
Does anybody if the isolated tracks are after or before effects/mix?
Super
6.19 Elbow "The Birds". Best song Floyd/Genesis never did.
Where can I find the drum sheet of this ?
Guess you'll have to do it yourself. We're on the brink of the limits with this type of content, ahead everything is possibility.
its not that hard
If you cant play this by ear come on man
Bello!!!
Are thee flats on the bass?
How is this possible without keys and guitar bleeding through?
Impressive the power of AI, ain't it
@@dantesanchez2491 If that's how it was done, indeed.
Waters and his 7th mark
can you insolated the guitar ? is beeautiful nice work
Os dois em sintonia
This sounds so broken without the lead
Roger Waters is an amazing bass player
Roger waters is really overrated Bassist... So many mistakes. Nick Mason on the other hand is really amazing drummer.
