I promised myself a Red light hair therapy device when I completed my first round of chemo. I did not go completely bald but was shedding all the time like you described. Mine was so bad, our carpet and furniture looked like we had a pet and I wore a hat when I did cooking. The red light worked wonderfully. I used it religiously for 6 months. Then my husband became extremely ill and the stress of caring for him triggered the shedding again. So I'm back to using my device again and there is a ton of new growth along my hairline after about 10 weeks. I no longer see my scalp along my part, so I'm pretty happy overall. I'm 79.

You don't need a helmet. A pad that's floppy enough will do. Those 105 led ones that are marketed for weight loss work fine. The main issue with them is that the step up adaptet will break first. The adapter plugs into a regular USB power bank, but then steps up the voltage to 12v, which the pad actually uses. They come with a plug in the wall too, but a power bank is better. I'll probably make a video soon on how I solved the issue with that pad and a bigger one. But these don't cost much.

Hi Karen, it's brilliant that you've seen results already. I assumed my hair shedding was normal but maybe it isn't as I shed as much as you did! The baby hairs are the most annoying thing for me, I have so many & have to glue them down with gel. I have pulled them out too b4 as they were so ridiculous I look like I've rubbed a balloon on my head! Bad I know. Look forward to seeing your results in 10 weeks x

Less hair loss already is a good result so far, Karen! Can't wait to see what you think in another 8 weeks!

I use my soft red light face mask on the top of my hair as i saw some nice filling in of my eyebrows and eyelashes and front hairline when just using on my face. Four months in and very happy with the results.

I was wondering if you could do that, I might plonk my mask on my head for a month or so and see if there is a difference .. I have a lot of perimenopausal hair loss/thinning .. it is really horrible!!! thanks for this

@@maireadweaver8952 yes that's what mine is too good luck though I recommend using for longer as I have been using the mask on my face for six months as i still continue to see some good regrowth at the front now in the last month around my temples.

I always have product in my hair lol. I have been following British Beauty Blogger - Jane's progress with this device, so I will be watching you both with interest. I've definitely thinned where my parting is. I bought the Patch from the Light Salon when it was on offer (think it's around £375 but I paid a lot less than that). I can't say whether it works on hair growth as I haven't tried it on my head yet. It's a strap on device & I got it because I could also use it on my dodgy hip, neck etc. I doubt it's as strong as the one you have, but if anyone can't afford that one, it could be an option. Emma x

Hi Karen, I've just watched this review and wondered if you'd done another review 10 weeks later? I'm thinking of getting one! X

I talked about it in a favourites but didn't do a dedicated review as I'm not currently on you tube. I'm still using it though. x

Seriously considering trying this. I have very fine, thin hair which is getting more and more thin. However, both my Mam and Nana have/had hair loss to the point where you can see more scalp than hair so I'm thinking it's a genetic thing and unsure whether this would help 🤷‍♀️. I do use the CB face and neck masks and love them but made the mistake of not taking photos before I started using them 🙄. I think there has been an improvement in my skin and one thing I have noticed is that it is diminishing the milia I have on my under eyes, so that's a win 👍. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts after 16 weeks or so. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Yep, my biological mum has more scalp than hair I think which is why I'm determined to do whatever I can to keep my thick hair! Best of luck! x

This might be a silly question, but do you wash your hair everyday before using the device? I ask because the company recommends “no product”, clean, dry hair. I love to wash my hair daily, but I’m always told it’s too often if you are concerned about hair loss.
I think that you answered my question at 13:08! Thank you!

Would love some help with my hair and also with my scalp, the muscles are so tight.

I would love videos that are specific to menopause. Perhaps hormone replacement therapy, which has a profound impact on hair and skin.

I have done a few menopause videos on my "Life as a zebra" channel as it's about health. I had to stop HRT sadly - th-cam.com/video/kEwoX_76zwc/w-d-xo.html

When you say product free, does that mean not even a leave in conditioner? cause that's all I use.

I'm not sure what their definition of product free would be, sorry!
