I have a Theradome helmet, bought it back in 2013 when they were just a startup. Unlike the helmet experience you had, I find my Theradome really comfortable, it has 80 lasers and you don’t have to move it around your head during a treatment like this headband. It’s so light I forget I have it on. It’s made my hair fuller and filled in the really thin spots, so I found the expense worth it. I use it twice a week now for maintenance, it’s still going strong after 6 years. The quality is definitely there.

A LT I’m 31 and after a baby my hair loss increased a lot. I saw a derma for it and what she recommended was pretty good which was prescribed for 3-4 months only. Now baby is 1 yr, hair loss is very bad, I’m oiling my hair but I think it’s stress and my family has history of hair thinning. I’m very confused between the Theradome and the hairmax. From what I understand, isn’t the hairmax better to be able to use on the back of ur head as compared to a helmet style, which only covers the top part of ur scalp?? I really hope u reply....thank you!

You do such a good job with your product reviews! I don't know anyone else who tries to control the amount of variables as well as match the lighting and the angles of the before and after photos. I've probably got about 15 years left before I come hot and flashy but I still love your Channel and opinions. Thanks for another great video

I have been using the Hairmax 41 for 6 months as well and have had amazing results. I am 53 and had seriously began to have a receding hairline. It takes 3 minutes to do a cycle, about every other day. I got the scratch and dent cheaper model that was available at the time (although nothing appeared wrong with it). Most beauty things I try do not work. I am so pleased. I really appreciate your videos and think you do a great job of fairly reviewing everything. It is quite money and disappointment saving to watch your videos. Thanks so much Angie!

Thought you might get a kick out of this story:
I was in the middle of watching this video, when my 12 year old son started watching over my shoulder. After a couple of minutes, he said, "She's really pretty. She doesn't need that thing."
I said, "Well sometimes, after menopause, our hormones cause our hair to thin out. She was testing this to see if it works to regrow it."
    "Menopause?! How old is she?"
    "I think she's in her mid 50's."
"No. Freaking. Way. She looks WAAAY younger than that!"

I know this was published a while ago but I just watched this video and as always, you are terrific in your presentation. You have to be careful not to mistake gray or white hair for missing hair. I realized that the "spot" I had was white hair and when I applied a root powder, I realized I hadn't lost that much hair. Your research is so detailed and I really appreciate that. Thanks again.

Hi, Angie. I have been using the headband since August. I have noticed the same initial results. Hair is starting to grow back in those areas slowly but surely. The thing that I have noticed the most is that overall my hair is growing crazy fast, almost to the point of being annoying. I get it cut and then I feel it is quickly back to the same length again. I was hoping to see less hair falling out, but that has not happened. I have a couple more months to decide if I want to return it. I am glad to see that you are having more or less the same results. Thanks!

Wow! Amazing results Angie! I have *the* craziest, thickest, most frizzy and unruly hair! When it began falling out at perimenopause I was and continue to be happy! Weird right?! Just anything to help make it more manageable! But, wonder, of all wonders, I've just started noticing the same thinning at the temples-ugh! So frustrating!😕 Hopefully I can find a 'spot treatment' to just fill-in that small area and not add more crazy volume!😁

I have been addressing my situation with supporting supplements, yes, that include biotin but also I started taking a stem cell stimulation supplement. It has helped because my hair is fuller and stronger. My biggest issue was breakage and I do not notice that as much anymore.
Angie, I am amazed you have no gray! I never considered that before until I saw the before and after pictures of your roots! Do you truly have no gray at all, or how do you have color completely to your roots? I am AMAZED. 🤤😍
Love your channel. Thank you so much for your videos.

Thank you so much for this followup video! You were very thorough and it helps me to make a decision on whether I will purchsse based on yours and others individual anecdotal results. I am losing hair because of general anesthesia used during surgery when I broke my leg. Individual review results matter to me and you do a great job with them! Thank you!

Hi, D Orban! My hair was falling out like crazy after my surgery (bilateral total knee replacements) it slowly stopped after about 4-5 mo post surgery. Check your iron level..you may be a tiny bit anemic which will cause hair loss along with the anesthesia! Good luck..and I hope all is well with your leg!

Hi Angie, thanks for all your good info and videos! Did you consider their cap with a lot more lights? Is that too much? I have the old comb and just started using it, but hate moving it, takes forever. Considering headband or cap if there are holiday sales. Thx!

I have been using the the Igrow helmet for a little over 2 years. My hair has never looked better. I will say it took almost a year before I realized that my hair quality was better. With that said I have been very consistent I even use sometimes 3 days in a row and then back to every other day. I switch it up. Maybe not the most comfortable hemet but it works! Also you can find them cheap on eBay. The one you show here looks like a pain to fiddle with, With mine , I just put it on and set for 25 min and watch youtube! :))

I started with biotin and a hair/skin/nail supplements and these helped to "lessen" the hair loss but I didn't experience hair regrowth. Then I started using the Bosley hair comb (which cost me about $450 about two years ago). Let me tell you, my hair loss has virtually STOPPED. Maybe a few hairs every time I wash it but minimal. My hair also feels A LOT fuller, which indicates regrowth. My hair is thin by nature. Always has been, but this is the closest I've come to what my hair looked and felt like when I was a teenager. I still take the supplements anyway.

Hi Angie I watch and love all your videos. I know you absolutely love the results of using retinA and use it everyday. I have used it myself for a year or so now and had started seeing good results in my skin. However I recently started shedding a lot of hair especially around my hairline and started researching possible causes. There appears to be a strong link between overdose of vitamin a and hair loss and a doctor has now confirmed that this is indeed the case. I just wanted to make you aware so you could maybe research it for yourself.

All my dermatologists concur that one cannot overdose on vitamin A with topical tretinoin. It's not absorbed in the same way as oral supplements where one can develop vitamin A toxicity linked to hair loss.

Maybe one day I will shell out the money for the laser headband. I’m hoping at some point the technology becomes less expensive. For now I will stick with Nioxin. I don’t mind it. It doesn’t give my hair any kind of a weird greasy feel. Once it dries my hair is just like normal. My hair was thinning at the widows peak area. It’s almost totally grown back after two months of using it. I just put it on when I do my skincare morning and night. So it makes it easy to do because I just keep it as a part of my skin care regimen. You start noticing the baby hairs growing back pretty quickly too. I apply at the widows peak in the front of my head where my bangs seem a little bit thinner.

Lisa Locke - I just bought the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner (No. 1 for fine hair), but I haven't tried it yet. I should probably get the foam as well. Apparently, Nioxin has reformulated their shampoo and conditioners. The packaging is also a little different. Some people are saying the new formula is not as good as the old one. Have you tried the new formula yet? I'm just curious if you've noticed any difference. Thanks!

Lica Locke - After putting it in the morning, aren't you afraid of touching your hair during the day? Or running to wash your hands every time you touched your hair for hairs to start growing where ever you touched afterwards? I find it annoying.

I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't love biotin. It definitely worked when I tried it but it made my hair & nails grow TOO fast (no thicker) so I had to have my hair colored and my nails manicured more often!! and I didn't like that...

@@AngieHotandFlashy Also, I'm not sure if biotin will regenerate an inactive hair follicle which is what a laser is supposed to do.

If you take biotin it can affect TSH blood test results so please be aware of that. Would hate for anyone to start taking or increase synthetic thyroid hormone over a vitamin. It’s water soluble so once you stop taking it the TSH returns to normal.

When I started using Retin A several years ago I noticed a distinct hairloss, around my face and also in thickness throughout my scalp. Checked with my doctor who wasnt sure if there was a relationship to Retin A so did some research online and yes there are studies which indicate Retin A can cause due to the turnover being excelerated as with skin turnover.. In particular my brows thinned badly. Stopped Retin A for a year or so but have restarted due to my dissatisfaction with my skin, and yes thinning obvious again. I feel hairloss is a trade off for nicer skin. Try to use Retin A only couple of times per week though and will assess results over next year or so.

Trish, I also noticed that my hair is thinning since April when I started using topical Retin A. I'm so glad you posted this message. Excessive vitamin A can cause hair loss. Did your hair grow back after you stopped?

I have noticed that my hair where my part is on one side is almost gone at the temple. The other side is just fine. I may invest in the comb. I have very thick hair, and it’s short. Also the comb is much cheaper. I think that would help n the one spot that I am losing hair. I also had to have the gamma knife done on my head. So there’s is a small spot from that. This is just talking me into getting the comb. For all my spots. Great video.
