I enjoy your commentary. I like these old tractors and you’ve helped me understand how they come apart and go together and what to look for. Thank you!
Always enjoy your videos. I have changed clutch in two and 3 digits but just once. I really enjoy you talking explaining what your doing and the reason while your videoing. I have taken many notes the last three years listening to your videos. Thanks very much and Please keep them coming just like your doing. I like the 1 hour videos the best!!!
Takes a lot of patience to deal with all the intricate details of making things "more better" as you would say. At least there wasn't a long interlude in the process. Delays are the bane of keeping up with wayward parts and fasteners !!!
The struggle bus of tight spaces and fasteners makes you wonder what the original tractor assembly line was laid out. Certainly some things were not installed yet and thus not in the way but some likely were.
Had a few loader roll back accidents locally over the years. On my own, was helping a neighbor in the evenings. His teen son had decided to move a 1/2 full 300 gal elevated fuel tank. put the loader under the tank but never secured it with a chain. When I got there it was about to roll down the loader arms onto the dummy. I got him stopped and had it stabilized, but the idiot tried to dump it back into the stand before I was ready and the tank smashed my thumb between the tank and stand! Only think I accomplished was keeping the idiot alive, but I'm the one what got hurt. To this day, I rarely ever want any one "helping" me work!
Ross your dad was lucky! A person in Kansas took a tractor the size of the 2020 with a loader. Chained round bale to the loader bucket raised the loader to look under the bale. The chain came unhooked. The round bale rolled down loader arms. The man lived , his spine will never do it's job again!
Hey Ross, your dad was very lucky when he had the log roll off the loader. Several yrs ago now thinking back now, in our township, a man a couple of years younger than me, did the same thing but with a big round bale of hay on the loader. It rolled down the loader arms and over the top of him. It bent him backwards over the seat back. He has been in a wheel chair ever since. He has a wife and children, farmed with his brother, and had a bright future. But..... One mistake changed the whole outlook for his and others lives. I hope this comment can help anyone who reads it. Keep the videos coming Ross!
You're getting it there, just a bit more to do. Not being an Oliver man, left me a little unsure about some of it. The information you gave on here explained a few things I was not sure of, so you clarified a couple of questions I had. Love the struggle bus we are all on, have a good day young man!
Getting into a good position to screw something makes life much better. Then after trying to screw it in you find out that the bolt is to big for the hole or to small for the hole. On the shaft cover make sure the rubber is not cracked because it allows dirt into where you do not want it. Grinding the clutch into dust or the brass throw out till it is way too thin is an unwanted expense for the farmer. $1.50 corn and $3 beans do not make for constant repairs.
It was a farm accident back in 90s farmer picked up round bale with loader to load onto truck it rolled down the loader that's all it wrote for him they said he was a daredevil
"I think that cow just whistled at me". Is it breeding season? Might want to be careful putting hay out. That pto clutch looks like a dead ringer for the hand clutch in WD's and 45's.
Every piece of equipment, every brand has a disagreeable job. Oliver it was that stupid coupler shaft or chain coupler. You need to be a double jointed contortionist. Or very drunk.

There’s nothing boring about your videos I look forward to seeing your progress
Just a quick question what brand of paint are you using to paint the engine

There'll be some people out there that ain't so smart so we like to hear you explain everything
Can't say I've ever seen a single bolt transmission coupler before. I better check the 77 Standard, I might be a,screw short.
I thought they were all like this.
You’re getting there. Very informative!

1555 is a dry clutch too.
Half the reason we watch is your comments 😂
If the paint on the 77 is original is it a different color than the meadow green?
