I met Johnny in the street one day. He was happy to stop and talk to me (just a fan). What you see is what you get - a gentleman.

Yes, an example how to not do an interview!

It’s unfortunate, but to be fair, I think he was just nervous to ask him about this stuff after a very public and uncalled for scolding from Morrissey accusing Marr of name dropping him in interviews.

Someone who has followed the band's trajectory since 1985. Brushing up a few lines in Marr's interviews, we realize that at a certain point he was no longer in a position to put up with Morrissey's lyrics and temperament. During the recording of Strangeways the tension was very present (at some extent). Producer Stephen Street reports this. In an interview Marr said: "See, there's a lot of effort that goes into creating a song, and then you end up having to accept someone calling it Girlfriend in a Coma." Marr revealed this not in an amusing sense, but with apparent disapproval. The fact that he began to join other groups demonstrates a need to breathe new air.

The irony of successful bands is there's always at least one who's a bit odd. They are often the reason the band draws attention. They are also often the reason the band breaks apart. Robert Smith in his infinite wisdom is one of the very few who knew how to capitalize on that quality without actually being an oddball

He dumped the banshees high & dry to be a pop star but his music is incredibly beautiful and pure; being that he wrote EVERY love song about his still married to wife Mary

Dude, pease do NOT speak over your guest when they are about to tell a story. You are almost arguing with Marr to convince him not to speak about something he's perfectly willing to talk about. Unforgivable sin in an interviewer.

A few days back I saw Buster Keaton's early work on TH-cam (1900's silent movies) and you can just tell he saw things differently... it seemed like there was another gear to his consciousness Johnny Marr is to music what Buster Keaton was to early cinema!

The interviewer needs to LISTEN and NOT INTERRUPT when he is lucky enough to have a guest. Unfortunately you embarrassed yourself here.
