    I was having an off day and needed to exercise but could feel my shoulder wasn’t quite right and just found this video and thought I would try it. One of my favourite yoga videos I’ve tried! Love your detailed explanations, the sequences and the 5 minute ending. Can feel a nice stretch in my shoulder and I feel a lot more peaceful, relaxed and positive now. Thank you so much!

    I have been sore from dance since Wednesday and the places that hurt the most were my shoulder/upper back/neck and my hips. So I found this video of yours expecting it to help me and you went above and beyond helping me because now I feel very open, flexible, and the soreness is all gone. Thank You!

    I really want to thank you for posting these videos, even though I know this one was posted quite a while ago. I work in health care and the current Covid crisis has given me a chronic headache. So far, your yoga videos are the only thing I've found that helps, more than physiotherapy, more than medication or meditation. I've tried other instructors' videos, but they don't have the same effect. I do one of your vinyasa flows and an hour later the headache disappears. So thank you so much for the work you do and know that you help people even continents away daily.
    I also have a question: any tips for pigeon pose balance? Because you make it look effortless and I just keep falling over every two seconds.

    Candace, I love your videos and have been practicing with you for about one year. I noticed that your new videos are narrated while you are practicing whereas older videos are voiced over. The voiced over videos are louder and sound better on my devices. The narrated videos are very soft and sometimes hard to hear, despite turning up the volume as high as it can go.

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Susan, I'm really sorry to hear that. Be sure you've turned up both your computer and the youtube video online. That should help. I can't do voice over anymore because it takes twice as long (x amount to film, and the same amount to do the voice over) and I also outsource the video editing now, as my business has grown and there is a lot on my plate. However, I do think the aforementioned tips should help with the volume.

    This vinyasa flow was very challenging for me. I had a very hard time balancing in the chair and crow poses. I am on fluffy carpet though and wondering if that has something to do with it, or I am just so unbalanced. For cobra, I found when I was lifting my chest, my lower back was hurting. Is this normal? Was I pushing up too high? Thank in advance for your reply! Still love your work.

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah, a fluffy carpet can be hard to balance on. For cobra, it sounds like you may have been lifting too high and therefore compressing your back. You don't ever want to push into your hands for cobra - rather, you want to use your back body strength to lift your chest off the mat. It's not about getting particularly high, but rather building a little back body strength and opening the chest and lengthening through the spine. Hope that helps

    After 10 minutes, the sound cut off temporarily and when it returned, did not go along with the timing of the video. I was enjoying it.

      I wonder if that was your internet connection that just had a hiccup or something. I've checked the video and the sound worked perfectly for me at 11 minutes, 15, and 20....?

    Stupid question alert*
    Why is it that we interlace our hands the weird way lol?!

      Not a stupid question! Just to keep things even. If we always interlace with our dominate hand one way, we just get used to it - nothing really wrong with it but I like to keep things even :)

    Not the video for if you have a headache. It hurts so much. I love your videos, I thought the shoulder movement would help but this one is the worst for that.
