- Welcome back to Americana! I have bough this old broken down BMW. Can i get it running and drive it home? The vehicle at hand is a 1994 BMW 740i, These cars were nearly 60,000 dollars when new in 94, nowadays they have fallen into the hands of peasants like myself, lets see if we can get this old girl running! Good honest diagnostics. Done the same thing at the sibe of the road on a bike 30 years ago. Had the plugs out checking for spark. Had no bloody fuel! Tap on reserve, off I wen't!

Americana with non American car lol! I like BMW for the most part. I just put a serpentine belt on one that was a job! It literally took three sets of hands lol! Straight six with almost zero room to work. Actually the serpentine belt had to come off because it was the small belt behind the serpentine. What a job it became but it was a success lol!
Nice, yes best way to do those is to remove the clutch fan if it has one and sometimes the fan shroud will come out easily as well, thanks for watching!
every BMW has mysterious faults that hardly anyone knows how to find. they can be very simple. and they can be very expensive.
Yes, a scanner is required for newer ones. These older ones are actually quite nice to work on and they arent designed to fail, which is definitely a plus.

Looks it's burning too rich one moment and then too poor . . Guess it's something with the OSV. Check Maf sensor , clean it, check fuel pressure , and make sure the system is free of leaks .
