- A video circulating on social media is gaining a lot of attention.
This March 2022 video is out of Ireland and shows the awarding of medals during a gymnastics meet where the only black girl is skipped over by the white woman awarding the medals.
Olympic champion Simone Biles condemned the incident and reached out to the young athlete.
Gymnastics Ireland says they issued a public apology for the incident after the girl's parents said the alleged snub was due to racism.
Here's part of what the Irish sporting body had to say about the resurfaced video:
"We are aware of a video that has been posted on social media relating to an incident that took place over 18 months ago at a GymSTART event in March 2022 for which we received a complaint from the parents of one of our members. Subsequently, both parties agreed to enter mediation which was independently facilitated by Sports Disputes Solutions Ireland as per our policy/procedure which led to a resolution agreed by both parties in August 2023."
According to reports, the young girl's mother said they have not received a genuine apology.
Gymnastics Ireland says the woman handing out the medals is no longer a member of the sporting body after she chose not to renew her membership.

The girls' parents recognized with metal, and all the adults present were and still are complicit in the foul woman's actions. Overlooking the child was an act of inhumanity. Why did Christ Jesus came and sacrificed His precious life for sinners like us? Because through Adam’s disobedience, sin and death entered the world, and all human race. Christ came to undo the sin and eternal death brought upon the world through the sin of Adam. Christ, who is God’s Word made into flesh, sacrificed His life for us. He was crucified for our sins and transgressions. Christ died, and on the third day He resurrected in the flesh, conquering death and the grave. Now, Christ is seated in Heaven, at the right hand of Power (God the Father). Through Christ’s sacrifice we gain Salvation through God’s abundant mercy and grace. We are reconciled and recompensed back to God, through the shed blood of His begotten Son, Christ Jesus.

Romans chapter 5 verse 8: "But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Death in Adam, Life In Christ:
Romans chapter 5 verse 19: "For as by one man’s (Adam’s) disobedience, many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s(Jesus's) obedience, many will be made righteous.”
Romans chapter 5 verse 18: "Therefore, as through one man’s (Adam’s) offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even through one Man’s (Christ’s) righteous act, the free gift came to all men, resulting in the justification of life.”
Romans chapter 5 verse 17: "For if by the one man’s offense (Adam’s offense), death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in the life through the One (Jesus Christ)."
Romans chapter 5 verse 12: ” Therefore, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.”
Romans chapter 5 verse 21: “So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Through Adam, sin and death entered the world, so that is why Christ Jesus came to give life, and give it more abundantly. Yes, Christ came to give eternal life through Salvation. The Salvation of His shed blood, and resurrection.
Adam’s flesh brought sin, death, destruction, and condemnation.
1 Corinthians 15 : 21-22, “For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ, all shall be made alive.”
Christ’s sacrifice, the crucifixion of His flesh, brings reconciliation of sins, resurrection, eternal life, salvation.
Christ is coming back again, not as a sacrificial lamb. He is coming back as a roaring, warring lion, to destroy sin, death, and the grave once and for all.

Now do you see friends, why Christ Jesus is so Important for our Salvation? Yes.
Now, do you understand why there is only 1 way to God, and that is only through Christ Jesus? Yes.
Christ is Salvation. Christ is our Lord and Saviour. Christ is the only way to God. Christ is the only Mediator between God and men (us humans).
God loves us so much, He does not want anyone to perish in hell. God wants all sinners to be saved. That is why He sent His Word to save the world. God’s Word became flesh, and dwelt among us to save us. Will you accept Christ and be saved? Your eternity depends on it. What happens after death is what is most important. Where will you spend eternity? Death is only the beginning of the next life.
Romans chapter 6 verse 23: ” For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
John Chapter 3 verse 16: ” For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Salvation is free!
Christ already paid the price, all you have to do is receive salvation through acceptance of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach.
So who is Christ?
He is the Word Of God made into flesh. He is the Son of God. He is God. He is the Image of the Invisible God. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the Beginning and the End. He is the Great I Am. He is the Root of David. He is Salvation. He is the Way, the Truth, and Life. He is the blessing promised to Abraham. He is the Gift of God to the whole world.
God created the heavens and the earth with His spoken Word. Did you know that Jesus is that Word, through which all things were created? Yes.
John chapter 14 verse 6: "Jesus said to him,” I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Colossians chapter 1 verse 15 to 16: "He is the Image of the Invisible God, the Firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”

Christ is for all who will receive Him.

Now that you understand who Christ is, share Christ with others. Christ is The Good News. What do we do with good news? We share it. Amen!

Submit to God.
Love God with all your heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. Keep God’s Commandments, (read Exodus 20: 1- 17, see the 10 Commandments of God).

Even the camera man was in on it. He was taking individual pictures of each child with their medals and even he skipped the young girl.

I can understand if the family would rather stay out of the public eye. My step grandmother came from Ireland, talked with that accent. My heart absolutely breaks for this sweet baby girl. I hope there is a firewall of love and protection around her and she is not left with a scar.
Oh she's scared alright. My hope is that she builds her confidence to be the best of the best at whatever she endeavors to do in life. Most importantly, the scar will be a reminder, some white people will be deaf, dumb, and blinded by her radiance. She must learn the lesson all black people, people of color learn, and that is her life will be a fight for the right to be respected.

My grandfather always said that every black child will be introduced to racism as some point in their childhood that will stick with them for the rest of their lives. This obviously is her introduction and I’m so sorry that this young lady had to endure that.
It doesn't make me happy to say this but "It's in there Nature" to be Wicked, Hateful, Racist and Inhumane. These White Supremacists are the Cruelest and most Evil beings on the planet. History tells us this and the present reminds of this.

I hope her parents went over the top with words of encouragement. Can't imagine how they responded to her questioning why she didn't get her medal like the other little white girls. She was in a situation of being the only one and it was a white adult who hurled the offence of keeping her well-deserved medal hostage. Black history still going on in 2023.

Gymnastics Ireland did not respond immediately after the incident, and no one stood up for the girl because it's a norm for them. They just exposed themselves to the world.
