save those mounts, they are gone, these are unicorn pieces for previa DO NOT under any circumstances get rid of that mount, if anything, in the future you can press out the rubber bushing with metal border and press in a new one
One of the best DIY channels because you focus on old cars regular people would buy for a commuter beater. Also see you got a Walmart battery. IMO they have one of the longest lasting batteries you can buy and the cheapest. AutoZone batteries suck and they’re expensive.
Odd for a Camry of that era to nickel and dime you with only 130,000 miles. I've seen those go well past 300,000 miles with no issues on them. Cousins '11 has close to 200,000 miles, no issues. Thanks for the video, Jimmy.
Its an 07 Camry LE 4 cylinder with 132k miles on it, I got it for cheap from the original owner because it was hit in the rear quarter in a walmart parking lot and considered "totaled". Basically the original owner is a good friend of mine and she agreed to sell it to me for scrap price after it was hit and she was paid out for it, she retained it from the insurance co and signed it over to me. Its just showing its age as she didn't do much but drive it so it needs all 4 struts, brakes, the evap charcoal canister, body work, etc. Worth it though in my opinion
Drives me nuts when people take plugs out with air or power tools...that WILL destroy threads. Seen it happen hundreds of times. Don't take plugs out with power tools people! Been doing this shit 15 plus years. Always done them by hand and never once had an issue. And doesn't take that long. Boxes of plugs will show you how to properly install spark plugs, especially ngk. Which is all anyone should use. Valve covers on that thing are easy to do. Jimmy is single handedly keeping previas alive...despite being the ugliest damn van ever made. Shoot I'll take a lumina van or a manual aerostar over a previa.
That little Milwaukee M12 is so comically underpowered it won't harm anything, it can't even break 30ft pounds of torque loose when it was new and I've beaten it half to death. I hand loosened the plugs first then used the M12 to spin them out, same thing with re-installation (hand threaded then torqued down with the M12. I honestly really like the way the Previas look, they're like a van from a future we were promised but never got, being in the driverseat is like piloting a space ship from some mad max retrofuture, the way they drive is super odd too because it doesn't handle anything like you expect. I grew up seeing these everywhere on tv (Carpool, the rugrats, etc) so I always wanted one
@@jimmyjimjims7483ANY power or air tool will absolutely destroy threads in the head. It doesn't take much to strip aluminum. I've seen it hundreds of times man. Always break loose, unthread all the way and repeat for install by hand.
I immediately recognized those T100 hubcaps. Those things are clean af.
These vans are unique glad you’re restoring this one. Better than it ending up in a junkyard
Loved the music Jimmy, really tied the room together.
I made the music specifically for my channel, its 1970's stock supermarket music slowed down 40% and reverbed to avoid copyright and such
I liked the music, it felt theatrical 🎭
Good to see you back and it was sad to see auto lite spark plugs in a Toyota should always use NGK or Denso
The music choice 😂 🛗
