- For the next week, two dozen restaurants and other food businesses are participating in the event put on by the nonprofit United Cambodian Community.

Boba tea originated in Hong Kong actually. Mind you, Thai restaurants in America also serve boba tea, Laotian papaya salad, Vietnamese fresh spring rolls, Malaysian chicken satay, Chinese noodle soup and fried rice. So only thai people can get away from serving other Asian cuisines in their restaurants?
@@crew I don't what are you going to convey, whereas I saw a page posting that Boba or tea milk with pearl bubble originated from Cambodian with many piece of evident. I don't want to praise this behavior. There is a restaurant try to claim the right in their shop by putting “the beverage” as present to their beverage in their Cambodian restaurant.

Almost every Thai restaurant here in America sells boba tea, Vietnamese spring rolls, Laotian papaya salad and Chinese noodle soup. I guess it’s an exception for thai people when they make other people’s food.

That is shameful! None of the dishes and drink showing there were Cambodian food. How far they are willing to humiliate their country by stealing other Asian cultures as their own. People are intelligent and aware of the differences.

Not only war, Khmer were slaves to the Khom. Only in the early 1300's Trosok Peam (Sweet Cucumber) the Royal Gardener killed the king and proclaimed himself as king. Before that time Khmer both men and woman were naked, only to wrap cloth around the waist to cover their privates.
Don't forget Rattanakosin Thailand occupied Cambodia for 100 years. You can say 700 years or so was the true Khmer kingdom.
This is Thai food and Chinese food. The drink is from Taiwan. The Cambodian people have no identity of their own. It would be more proud if you guys had your own food culture. But thank you for bringing Thai Chinese food to publish 🙏🇹🇭

Mind you, a lot of southeast Asian countries (Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and your Thailand) have all been influenced heavily by the Chinese diaspora that immigrated out of China in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. However, these countries have added their own twist to the original Chinese dishes and made them unique to each respective country sorta like how there is Chinese American food or Mexican American food. Right now I’m just seeing slander and bullying from you Thai’s because Cambodia is now being more represented. Prayers to all the haters from Thailand.

@@MewMoreMad nobody ever said phad thai is not Thai. The dish you saw in the clip is not phad thai. They are pin noodles dressed with sweet fish sauce and garlic. Nothing related to phad thai at all. Just same color and similar in looks. Also, kuay tiew is not a thai dish. It is in fact, a Teochew Chinese dish that thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam have adopted into their cuisines. You can’t tell a Chinese person that.

But almost every Thai food is originally Chinese and Laotion. I’m Chinese, there’s so many Chinese dishes in Thai cuisine that are sold in every Thai restaurant, but the Thai’s love to call it Thai food. Yen ta fo, kuay tiew, you tiao, huay chaw, etc.. all are Teochew/Hokkien Chinese food that you thai’s love to call Thai food. Mind you, every southeast Asian country are inspired by Chinese food because of the Chinese diaspora that immigrated out of China in the late 1800’s and early 1900s. So when you are bashing another culture and claiming it as thai, educate yourself first before commenting. Papaya salad, your sausages and jeaw dipping sauces are all Laotian in origin. Your Khao Soi is actually a Burmese dish originally, but since Burma is so underrepresented, nobody knows about its origins. Your curries are all Malay and Indian in origin. If you are going to say Cambodian food is heavily influenced by others, it’s actually more accurate to say it is influenced more from Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine, not Thai. All Southeast Asian cuisine like Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Filipino have influences from other cuisines and are unique in their own way. Even Thai cuisine is heavily influenced by other cultures. Thailand is not an ethnicity, it is a nationality made up of many ethnic people from China, Laos, Burma, Vietnam and Cambodian which all have contributed to Thai cuisine. So I suggest get yourselves educated and humble yourselves, Thailand. No other nationality have bullied Cambodians as much as the Thai’s and I can only pray for you people.
