Yeah the characters are kinda bland, they don’t have many unique features and there also all the same human character which kinda made it hard to make them look cute and stand out
gun play is very different from valorant you can move and shoot here. Utilities are somewhat similar but i dont see any knives or nuclear strikes killing me. I wouldnt call it Heavily inspired though. Its just a tactical fps.
The maps are very valorant inspired imo, same thing with the guns and how they handled the gun cosmetics, and then they basically copied valorant with their sponsorship contracts or “endorsements” which I’m not saying is bad, I actually like it, but it’s still something they took alot of inspiration from valorant.
@@GoldenYT01 most of the things u say apply to all tactical fps. Rainbow 6, overwatch, apex legends, all of then have cosmetics and unique skillsets. Map design maybe, in a way that there are 2 sites to plant something.
When I said cosmetics, I mean how they handled the pricing and selling methods and I’m also not talking about the skills or abilities on generals. I’m talking about the sponsorship *Leveling* with endorsement system was the exact same one that was unique to valorant I don’t think any other game had anything like their contracts. And the maps are like weirdly reminiscent of valorant maps, csgo, rainbow, and valorant all feel different to each other even though they have their respective bomb game, but imo spectre divides maps don’t feel different, they feel like valorant.
@roneeh7332 overwatch is a hero arena shooter and apex is a hero battle royale. Tac shooters are like csgo and val, basically plant bomb and restricted movement
define flop, i think the issue is it will never draw/ keep most of the players who come from the main 2 titles in the genre of cs and val, since even if it fixes the issues a lot of people have with the game most players are too deep in the sunk cost fallacy with other titles
Well it’s hard to say if actually is flopping, it seems everyone has a different opinion on what a flop is in the comment section, but I think because of shroud and how much he was hyping up this *Indie* Game, and peoples expectations were just too high, everyone wanted it to be the perfect fps game perfected by one of the Best in gaming, now people realize the game isn’t all it was Cracked up to be so they stop playing and probably go back to valorant or csgo. Spectre divide just feels like those games reskinned with some mods, and those games have years of updates a stability behind them, Spectre divide is just a mess right now,
i LOVE the game, but my 8hours of playtime was met with toxicity and bigotry, and I'm sorry I can only handle being called a slur so many times before I uninstall a game.
I think the main issue with this game is the game mode, it's just bomb plant and diffuse. If i wanted to do that I would hop on CS or Valorant, also In my opinion the abilities for each sponsor feels out of place from each other, Like Ryker industries feels like 3 different playstyles in one. Like you get a Sova dart with one bounce that's fine, but then you get a landmine that works like a kayo molly? Idk it just feels out of place for the character. The drone at least makes more sense. I know thats such a small thing but character abilities feel like a make or break of a game sometimes. And the star sponsor with he nades, It feels stupidly put together, Like I know there supposed to rush but they can almost heal to 100 hp in like 10 seconds with a pistol out, and they get like special vision if they swap bodies. I got more issues like the fact you can have 30 hours and not get a new character. It also doesn't help that this game came out at a really bad time, not only are like 5 games coming out next month but also Deadlock being able to stream really killed the viewership of specter divide on twitch. As I am writing this its only around 400 viewers. I also feel like Shroud doesn't even like the game but again that's just speculation from the fact that all he does is play Deadlock now
Yeah it doesn’t seem like they put much thought into the sponsorship, kinda like they just thought up a bunch of abilities and matched them up with different sponsorships, bloom mostly makes sense except they randomly gave them a healing ability so now that sponsor is technically the healer but none of the other abilities feel like they would belong to a healer, so I totally see what you mean,
Don't get me wrong i thought the game was fun but the burn out is real like really bad burn out, I just don't wanna see another bomb hero shooter anymore I just wanna see a new game that's good that isn't single player
@RocketCS your absolutely right. I was really burnt out playing the game, you should play the deadlock beta though. It’s a moba hero shooter but it handles it fantastically, I’m working on a video for it too!
@@GoldenYT01 yeah i got deadlock but I need friends to play it with or else i won't even bother playing it, I also been trying to learn it with bots but idk if learning with bots is a good idea
Reason to flop: pale game, in terms of color and characters. The characters are uninteresting and the use of color in game is just so boring. The ideas however are cool. Just sad how they weren't even able to reach out to any good artists to design the characters and overall theme.
Yeah even the purchasable skins aren’t special enough to justify spending money on, and i didn’t realize that about Spectre divide, but yeah compared to valorant the colors are kinda bland and boring
well the gameplay is slow, like really slow. While you could say that the game was practically 6v6, there is only 3 bodies that is moving in each team at all time (well only played a few matches so take it with a grain of salt). The reveal barrier is also kind of a problem. Some like it but some also don't, but it really stops any play where you push to attacker spawn (since you are literally sitting duck if you are full revealed the entire time). I like the game quite a bit, but probably won't be playing it as much as I would be playing valorant
I’m also not a fan of the reveal barriers, they just artificially slow the game down even more than the new aim down sight system does, seems like most people just run straight through the barrier anyway.
Good to know, I wasn’t sure because it only happend when I play spectre divide but it also would only happen in certain games I played, then the next game would be fine
Constant lagging issues for me.. Always when someone else shows onscreen. Oh and don't even think of using anything above 2k polling . Good thing game is much slower at least at low ranks I can recover usually.
@@GoldenYT01 Fair point I guess when I see this game my head slots it in with Val,CS,Siege and thinking about which one is most similar to SD I think it is Siege but having played all of them I could understand your perspective.
"basically Valorant" Kinda disagree. It does have some similarities but there is a lot more differences. First is the art style, of course they cant copy valorant style so close but imo if they made it like anime like and cutesy characters it could get more players I think. Might be first tactical anime shooter which u can customize your characters? Anime lovers will lose their mind. Although this can impact gameplay a lot but I think its possible. Second is the shooting mechanics its very different I would love if u can consistently hip fire but its definitely unique No ults, I think this is a definitely the right choice for this, feels more tactical shooter than Valorant yes u can kill enemies with utils but cant rely on them. I love the QoL for the throwable u can see when they will land, I want that for Valorant for awhile now. 2 weapons sets per buy which not always good but definitely different than Valorant. I just dont like the Idea of it being "basically Valorant". Valorant was treated like "basically like CS" before and I think its not fair to say it to Spectre Divide. I forgot to add that if Deadlock is still "closed" beta (harder to get invite or something) this game would have definitely have more players. Although 3 players per team is also affecting its popularity I think
Well I don’t think it’s basically valorant, but imo It’s Heavily inspired by it, the map layouts and designs, the guns and gun cosmetics, and sponsorships work the exact same as valorant in terms of leveling, the shooting is super different and that and the spectres are really the only major features that make this game not just a valorant clone imo.
@@GoldenYT01 I mean u can say that too to Valorant from CS. Kinda disagree, guns and gun cosmetics are very different from Valorant imo even with maps, it definitely feels a lot different for me. i also am unsure of how to feel. it seems fun tho. wish the characters were cuter tho

I really don’t think so, the similarities end at the game mode
