The MINI Roadster is the first two-seater convertible MINI has ever produced, and is designed to compete with the Mazda MX-5 and Audi TT Roadster. The fabric roof folds away in just 10 seconds and the boot is a useful 240 litres, whether the roof is up or down. Only Cooper models are available, including one diesel, the Cooper SD, with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.

I loved this review. I want this car, particularly because I have shitty friends who can't take care of their cars so they break down and ask me for rides. Now I'd have an excuse to say "sorry, no room, just me an my dog in the front seat."

I'm not a "hairdresser" but I really love that guy! Way much more funny than top gear guys.... "Miles of headroom... " and when having a fun with sporty sound of engine and speeding around, just like a big boy! Well done Matt ;-)
I think the MINI coupes and roadsters will become expensive collectables in 20-30 years

I have a 2012 Coupe S and I love the car, plan on buying a Roadster JCW next and have the pair... I also think they will become collectibles in the future within the MINI community. There's still plenty out there for sale, get you a nice one before things change.
I love mine. I can't bear to part with it either. It always puts a smile on my face when driving it and seeing it parked up :)

It's funny, more people would likely think the MX5 Miata was more of a "girly" car, even though it's one of the best drivers cars.. Of coarse, if you're secure enough, none of that will matter. And that's why I tremendously enjoy my MX-5!!!

Yeah, I think that stigma is mostly for the MX-5 here (for me) in America.. Because it's small, and cute looking. Shame too, because alot of guys are missing out on a very fun to drive, affordable, and reliable little car.

what's the difference between this and the mini coupe? Is this a cheaper and worse built version?
$39k here in Canada. Not worth it new but as a CPO this will be a great quirky car.

Awesome car but it seems to be lacking in headroom.
Oh dont get me wrong I have no problem with Matt at all. I was referring to some of the comments that people had posted. I think Matt and Rebbecca are the most honest car reviewers on youtube. I think the immature comments are probably from the same tool bags that post disgusting comments about Rebbecca whenever she posts a review.
I like the bulky design but at the same time it looks ugly lol they should make a hardtop convertible maybe i might consider owning one :]

It's inconvenient to lock secure your convertible top doing 20 per hour? I'm amaze it even lets you put the top down or up while the car is in motion. That's accident waiting to happen.

Super cute...but literally lost all utility when mini decided to make the coupe and roadster lol. They look great and that's about it.

if you want a mini, don't buy the convertible. the mx5 is my pick of the bunch, as it is more invoulving to drive, and more comfy when you're not in schumacher mode.
