Sure wish you would use both sprayers before making a video on which one to buy. Especially since you have used the Titan extensively, but not the Graco. Hopefully in the future you will use the product before making a video about it. If not then call it an unboxing video with first impressions.
They did try it through work, experience and using those units at different job sites so it’s better than showing me how they spray, video is about getting right info and how it performs from their experience. Great video 😎👍
I use the capspray 115 it is awesome. I had trouble with the gun after approximately100 uses I called titan tech support they sent me a brand new gun free of charge arrived in 2 days they called me 2 weeks later to check on and see if I had any further issues. To me Titan is # 1 I've never had any other company treat me so well I'm just a low volume company but titan made me feel as if I were their number one customer. Again I am very pleased with the titan capspray 115
Which one is pretty that's all I heard. Their not the same capspray is 6 stage graco is 5 stage . I was hoping to find out something informative bit of a let down
I was at the Sherwin Williams Pro Show in the Chicagoland area yesterday and purchased my first HVLP sprayer. (Planning to do some cabinetry jobs in the near future.) I went back and forth between the Capspray and the Graco. Ended up going with the Graco for a variety of reasons, the foremost of which was pricing. The Graco 9.0 was $150 off regular pricing, came with $200 Graco cash, and a 2nd free gun, which was super. The Capspray 115 was about $200 more, came with a second free gun, but no other incentives. I tried them both out at the show, and liked both. Hopefully I'll be happy with my decision. Winning a TV as a door prize was icing on the cake. Next is trying to figure out which products I want to go with for priming and top coats. Also, I'm thinking I need to either buy a racking system or build one for my needs. You guys probably have a video on that somewhere, right? I just found you guys on TH-cam and love the videos. Keep it up! Also, I appreciate the scripture references. That was a nice surprise!
I think the graco would be a good unit to keep in the booth at the shop. It just doesn’t look like something that should be bounced from job to job. Just my opinion.
I just bought a Fugi Q5 Platinum. Have you guys had any experience with Fugi products? I’m happy with it so far. Does a quality job and is incredibly quiet.
Guys, not sure if you thought about this, but you can turn the turbine power "ON" remotely by using the following. Woods 32555WD Outdoor Wireless Remote Control Kit, with 100ft Range or a simple Power Adapter with Red Indicator On/Off Switch.
After using the Titan HVLP for decades and works well.. got the chance to use Graco 9.5 Comp and I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THE TITAN..! "Get the 9.5 Comp" 1.) The automatic 10-second shut off and bump trigger to restart is fantastic when on ladders so you don't burn up those turbines.. And with the option to turn off auto. 2.) You can spray upside down and all around unlike the Titan. 3.) and many other options
Do you have a video explaining what pressure you should be using with each sized tip on a paint sprayer? Also what scenarios do you need a HVLP sprayer over a regular airless?
I have considered invesinvesting into one of these sprayers. I just learned of the Graco HVLP sprayer, but I've known of the Titan brand for a few years now. I also can confirm that the Titan HVLP sprayer is $1499 at Sherwin Williams Paint store while the Graco HVLP sprayer is priced at $1099. That's a $400 difference. The Titan model is more powerful, but I'm not sure what that means for quality.
Comes down to the number of turbans in the HVLP for power. Graco ProContractor models w/smart start & K&N filter will give you better life and performance long term
I’ve used both the graco and titan and the graco is nicer than the capspray.... When going to purchase I chose the graco it can dial in the turbo more accurate.. the smart start is an awesome feature and you can use the graco gun on its side or even upside down without a pps system. Filters are super easy to access...if you want a remote pot system you need to go with the next graco model up from that one they are the same except for the remote pot feature..since I am writing this a few years out from video I recommend the Apollo 7700 spray gun known as the atomizer...
I just bought Fuji 3 Platinum Doing 5 building of handrails ! 1done 4 to paint! Really wish I could have bought the graco stage 5 but it was a bit more expensive! Hope to load the video of my guys paint the rails! Great video!
So just finished doing some research on these two units and I went with the Graco 9.5 Procomp Series for the following reasons. 1) Recommendations from a repair shop that services both units. 2) Has a compressor built into the unit to push paint from remote cup (Titan doesn't have this compressor within the unit main reason the repair shot recommended) 3) Auto shut off is nice feature that might save some wear and tear and reduction of noise when not using. 4) Easy to change out fluid set 5) I looked into the the 6 stage of the Titan vs 5 stage of Graco as that was one of my concerns thinking more is better. I was told HVLP is under 10 PSI so a 6 stage is not needed. Therefore it was done simply to one up the Graco but is not needed and provides little benefit. 6) The superior on/off buttons in the Graco as mentioned in this video. 7) Variable speed of the turbine. Pro's for Titan: 4 year warranty vs Graco's of 3 year warranty. Transfer Pump (feeds directly out of container) ***must buy separately*** Power cart (Nice way to move unit) -
Chris, you forgot to mention that the Graco is a 5 turbine and the Titan is a 6 turbine. I would think that would be a pretty important factor; the 6 would be superior? You also mentioned the transfer pump on the titan, I thought the Graco had an accessory that can do the same.
Awesome I am really looking forward to the review on the Graco because I am just about to purchase a HPLV and was leaning toward the Titan because of your reviews... THANKS A Million...
please do follow up with a review after using. Thanks for this video. I am really enjoying the reviews with your staff that you've been doing recently.
Could I use the compressor for spray tanning as long as I used a fine mist tanning gun with adjustable flow? The consistency would be that of water. Most of the spray tan machines for professional use are around 600rpm. The spray tan systems are so cheap feeling.
I have the Graco 9.0 with the edge II PLUS gun. I think its built very solid and I do like the smart start feature. One problem I did have though and it looks like you might have the same, is the cover for the paint cup deteriorating and cracking, rendering the cup useless. I will say that tech support was extremely helpful in resolving the issue though, and they sent me replacements right away. I was told that they had a bad batch of covers where the plastic material used is incompatible with the common chemicals you would use in a sprayer, such as lacquer thinner. Be on the lookout, because I think the color of the cap is a good indicator of whether or not you have a good one. The ones that failed on me were translucent with a blue tint. The replacement cup assemblies they sent had a more opaque white top, similar to the cup itself. One more thing I have noticed is the o-ring on the connection of the cup to the gun. In only a few uses, the o-rings have deteriorated and need to be changed. On an older Capspray gun, there was no o-ring at that connection making it one less wear item to worry about.
I don’t know wtf you do to your Capspray turbine units to ‘bust the rubber’ gasket around the power switch after ‘1 or 2 uses’, but I have over a hundred hours on my 115 and it still looks new.
I use an apollo precision 5. It is an very well USA made turbine unit. Their 7500 series gun will accept either pressurized syphon cup or gravity feed. With the right air cap and needle set it will spray heavy high solids alkyd enamels with minimal thinning. Uses automotive air filters which is nice. You ought to give them a try.
Honestly I use whatever my boss buy's/has, i really don't pay attention to which brand it is. I set it up and get get to work, Aslong as it works and gets the job done it's all good with me.
The previous Edge gun allowed you to twist the cup threads upside down so you could attach a gravity cup. You back off the hex nut that's in front of the trigger about 4 turns and pull the blue piece on the gun tip out enough to turn it upside down. It should register itself in place and you can tighten the hex nut. You need a longer clear tube with check valve though which now attaches to the top of the gravity cup. I'm not sure if the edge gun 2 allows this but it looks like it does. Can anyone confirm?
So after using both of these units, which would you recommend? Also, Graco makes the 267 vs the 269 with the pressure pot. I don’t see myself using the pressure pot currently in my shop, but we all know about buying twice..
I am looking at the capspray 105 at the moment. I will not need it much right now. You commented on a different video about how the 105 was a slightly cheaper unit.
Could you tell me what the main purpose is for an HVLP vs. an airless? Why can't you just use your regular sprayer or handheld? I have a Graco 490 and a Graco Ultra handheld; what would an HVLP be good for that my other sprayers aren't? Thanks:)
chris widney thanks; so how much finer is it compared to a Fine Finish spray tip? Because I've sprayed kitchen cabinets with those tips and it turned out super smooth
I own the handheld the 390 nova and the hvlp 9.5 procomp all from Graco , every one has its own role in painting trade , I use hvlp mostly on kitchen doors , I tried with fflp tips 308 or 408 it does the job flawless but you have more control with hvlp
i am going to paint the inside of my house and im thinking im going to paint the ceilings and walls the same color of white and for that reason i was thinking about buying a sprayer now these are 1500 or so what type of sprayer would you recommend? thanks for your videos!
Hey Chris how's it going, I have the capspray115 ,that's funny bout the on off switch, I was wondering bout that, just had mine fixed, brought it to a job when to turn it on and the button wasn't there, that was agrivating. Anyway enjoy what you have going here ,I'm a subcontractor for a big company in CT, I work CT, RI, NY , MA , mainly commercial painting ,if any of subscribers have a company in those areas I mentioned and need a sub have them give me a call, I have a couple projects going right now but can always use more, been painting 30+yrs,i really respect what you have going here, thanks for showing painting and painters in a professional light, keep up the great work, Henry a fellow painter in CT
munroproducts.com they have a wide range of colors hardners reducers primers and. Much more. Dianne is very knowledgeable about the products. She also has good advice about any tub tile or counter top project you can think of.
I can't stand that Graco gun. The biggest reason is that the plastic they used expands with hot solvents and renders it useless if you want to ever screw the gun to the cup. lol It's nearly impossible to screw it on frankly if you use hot solvents. Which is what it's made for. Same thing goes for the black plastic ring and the spring on the front. Also, the whip has a one year warranty but I've gone through 5 whips in the last year. They break right at the end where they connect to the end. Also, on the Graco, the heat release tube in the back blows a straight line of hot air right out the back which blows dust all over the room. Pretty not smart if you ask me. Also, I have cut my hands on the sharp edges of the Graco. And so have three of my employees. NOT COOL. I'll be switching all of my HVLPs over to Fugi units unless I can find higher quality. I don't give a shit what country they are made in. If they are made better, I'll buy them.
I use hot solvents to clean my guns. I spray a lot of acrylic poly when I spray out bath tubs, counter tops and ceramic tile floors and walls. The work around for the black plastic used for the lids and the air caps is simply to not let them get exposed to the solvents for extended periods. Dry them off quickly and hang them on a hook or something. But by no means let them soak in acetone or toluene or they'll give you issues for sure.
Nice informative video guys .I'm conflicted with which hvlp system I'm opting for and my choice is a toss up between the titan or Fuji...fuji has a good reputation and I think I will opt with the minimite 5 ...i find parts are cheaper and I like the fact that it's manufactured in Canada.
We would definitely recommend the Titan. You get what you pay for when it comes to sprayers. We have found that the cheaper the sprayer the cheaper the quality.
Home Improvement How To's have u looked into the Fuji top of the line q series it's quiet in comparison to other machines and the q5 platinum at like 1700 is in the same price range as the 2 your comparing .hopefully u can also get one of those to compare aswell .
Chris, I've been using the Titan cap sprayers for over 25 years no problems, but I like the fact the Graco shuts off when not in use. Thank you much for your videos. I appreciate you putting them out for others to learn the trade. I've been painting since I was a Junior in high school "1974" but I learned a little something from some of your videos. I especially like your Monday night live ones. What was the company that you mentioned last week that builds websites? I think you said, "Fiver"? I'm really interested. Thanks in advance Bernie
Graco is American made.. Titan are Chinese.. Graco is lighter and that helps you alot imagine to work all day with a heavy one man no way.. Graco all the way
Well, as a Chinese that in this industry, I have to say that you have some prejudices. In this case, Graco's bulid quality is truly better, but it has nothing to do with the "made-in-China" thing. Instead, it was because Titan/Wagner's cost-control policy/culture.
Paint Life TV like it better than the titan? I’m thinking of buying one I wonder if I can spray latex thru a graco 9.0? Or do you like the titan better? Seems like the graco has a couple of features the titan doesn’t ? I do like the automatic shut off that will probably save wear on the motor.
@@Here-2-Learn when using the thicker exterior latex the titan will be better. Just bought 1 with the newer gun(think its called the ELITE) and was only 1200. Order it online it will be cheaper than going into a store
You said leave any comment, so here it goes.... Since I got laid off, I discovered this new online job. It nets me $7,000...only kidding. I'm a DIY'er, not a painter, so this is a noob question. Why would I use an HVLP sprayer over an airless sprayer? Thanks
All your reviews talk about the looks and feels of the sprayers. It's like reviewing two muscle cars in the parking lot without keys. A good review tests the cars not kick the tires. Sorry but this is useless unless you start them up and show how they compare with paint applied. I guess Graco told you look but don't touch. Also by viewing your videos it's obvious you're a Titan guy. You even have your videos on their website. Very misleading. For the record Graco without any hesitation is a far better product in every lineup. You keep saying my first sprayer was a Titan; I'd say you started out with a Titan because it was the cheaper option.
Bra wtf?! U mean u dont even spray with the godamn thing and youre doing a review of the system? Who the f*** cares about the cosmetic stuff?! I wanna know how it PERFORMS! Theres seven minutes and forty three seconds ill never get back. Pressed stop at that point.
Sure wish you would use both sprayers before making a video on which one to buy. Especially since you have used the Titan extensively, but not the Graco. Hopefully in the future you will use the product before making a video about it. If not then call it an unboxing video with first impressions.
indeed. title is misleading and how can you possibly recommend a unit you haven't used?
Really don't even try anymore boys.
They did try it through work, experience and using those units at different job sites so it’s better than showing me how they spray, video is about getting right info and how it performs from their experience. Great video 😎👍

I think the graco would be a good unit to keep in the booth at the shop. It just doesn’t look like something that should be bounced from job to job. Just my opinion.
The Graco Edge II plus spray gun can be converted to gravity feed like the Titan can. Buy the conversion kit.
Graco gun can be reversed to gravity Fed. Regulator of turbine speed is cool
I just bought a Fugi Q5 Platinum. Have you guys had any experience with Fugi products? I’m happy with it so far. Does a quality job and is incredibly quiet.
We have not used Fuji yet
I’d like to know more about Fuji
I just busted out the Q5P as well. The low noise is what caused me to make the decision over Apollo.

lol, we have actually tried it, and it worked!
Paint Life TV did it work well or only so/so? And did you use both of the machines or only one, which one was the best.

Have you looked at the Fuji HVLP machines, not all plastic.
I have the Graco 9.0 with the edge II PLUS gun. I think its built very solid and I do like the smart start feature.

Graco 395 airless sprayer: amzn.to/2IyhdLuTitan 440 Impact airless sprayer: amzn.to/2HhfzOY
How about the turbine noise, which one its quieter.
Both are real noisy
@@Idahopainter I bought the 9.5 graco and it's absolutely awsome, super light on noise compared to a compresor. No chip at all.
Thanks for sharing your experience with it John!
But by no means let them soak in acetone or toluene or they'll give you issues for sure.
market it in the Philippines...nice to have that painting equipment in the Philippines
Cool i Have The Graco and Titan both
Works perfec,
Nice Vid.... thanks painter dudes!
you are welcome
How about a follow up video on the graco sprayer in action? 👌.
Titan capspray 115 is made in MN USA. The spraygun is made in china
The graco unit needs many improvements before I'll be happy with mine.
@@uncreativename8841 yes Titan, Wagner and Graco are made in USA Minnesota
Good review
So having it over a year do u like the Graco ?
Love it!
How can you review something you haven't used ?
What's the pps part number for the titan?
I do not know
Do you get paid in cash or in exchange for free equipment?
Depends, but we do all honest reviews
2 Thessalonians 1: 2 thanks for the review brothers i've made up my mind
Thanks for watching!
Sounds like you both have an affinity for titan… that’s okay, I understand
Fuji hands down
I like how you put Bible verses there. God bless you guys. Subscribed.
Thanks for subscribing Oleg!
You said leave any comment, so here it goes....
Since I got laid off, I discovered this new online job. It nets me $7,000...only kidding.
I'm a DIY'er, not a painter, so this is a noob question.
Why would I use an HVLP sprayer over an airless sprayer?
Thanks
Bernarr Coletta better finishing
Great video I have theTitian so please don't the Graco because then I will have to buy one
Can i use the titan gun on the graco?
Yes, you can
Watching of Florida
nice
Fuji q5!
Fuji q5?
I just got the Fuji Mini Mite 4. Love it
All your reviews talk about the looks and feels of the sprayers.
Hey sorry for the irate comment earlier. I wont be havin that second cup of coffee tomorow morn im here to tell ya.
lol, all is good here
Graco hvlp 9.5 all day
Grace for airless, titan for help. That’s all you need to know
One more thing I need to know. Did you mean hvlp?😆 waiiiiiiiit........ one more thing. Did u graco?? Ok im done 😆 🤣 😂
@@mikemartin5909 autocorrect is killing me

Titan looks like a boom box lol..
Jajajajaja You are right, I think the same.
Th quick Start is your answer
Yes
Why would you review something you never used before?
Gallery thanks for the info American made is better..
Gracie is better quality and has a transfer pump
Thanks for sharing Mark!
Graco sorry predictive text
Titan turbine is trash for me... For waterbase paint work ok.. For oil base not good at all.. ☹️
Bra wtf?! U mean u dont even spray with the godamn thing and youre doing a review of the system? Who the f*** cares about the cosmetic stuff?! I wanna know how it PERFORMS! Theres seven minutes and forty three seconds ill never get back. Pressed stop at that point.
Thanks for the feedback!
Pro's 👍
Lol so biased to titan lighter is better for a hand held tools lol
