What products do you use to refinish bathtubs? I have a Graco 9.5 and have always considered refinishing tubs I own some rentals and having that skill could come in handy.
To tell you the truth I don't remember off the top of my head. I know it was a 2 part epoxy with a lifetime warranty. One of the selling points was that it's the same paint used by the United States Navy on there ships. It's 95% prep work for tub/sink/countertop refinishing. Painting, adding specks and clear coating are easy. Using a palm sander, Bondo and denatured to clean the surface then taping everything off is most if the work. I had an exhaust system to blow the exhaust out a window to help keep the smell from getting too strong in the house
This video was very informative. I plan on spraying my kitchen with a HVLP Titan that you showed. However, rentals offered seem to be the four stage turbine, not the most current 6 stage. Is there that big of difference?
The pressure pot HVLP system - would that work well to paint a ceiling - like a 20 x 20 room / garage ceiling vs. an Airless .. I like the idea of low amount of paint used , lower over spray ..
I have a new project involving painting about 12 doors and respective trim plus maybe some baseboards. Perhaps even cabinets. Should this be a contender to purchase over an airless sprayer?
Do you have to reduce the paint using the transfer pump? Or the fact this it is pressured by the pump reduces the need for reduction? I plan on spraying either latex with a #5 tip on a 5 stage or trying lacquer, but kind of nervous spraying lacquer for the first time.
Hey Idaho Painter crew, I've got a question and your knowledge would help so much. I'm a hobbyist so I made some cabinets and wanted to spray it. I bought the Wagner Flexio 690 Stationary HVLP Paint Sprayer and planned to spray some paint I had previously bought called Valspar Cabinet Enamel Semi-gloss Latex Interior Paint (oil enriched). I understand that most things need to be thinned but this paint says specifically not to thin. I tried to spray it already and it just left a crap finish with lots of spits and it was getting gunked up on the tip. What are my options?I need to use this paint as the only thing I have left is the doors and at this point I just want to get it done. I thought about renting a the graco 20V Cordless Paint Sprayer from homedepot and giving that a try. I guess I could also paint by brush but I really suck at that and didn't want lines. I saw a video hack on thinning latex material with auto window washer fluid. The painter uses this mixture instead of water claiming he has success with HVLP guns that difficulty spaying viscous material. What is your opinion?
When spraying solid Colors not on cars I Recommend You should try using A LVLP- (Low Volume Low Pressure) instead of A HVLP- (High Volume Low Pressure) you'll Have Less over Spray & you'll save even more Paint
Back when I took up spraying cars (maybe 6 or 8, can't recall) I used a regular Binks and a 12 gallon 1 HP SEARS compressor dialed down to around 8 lbs at the gun cup. I remember putting 3 coats on my '71 240Z using only one quart of acrylic enamel paint (thinned) at least two paint jobs over 17 years (maybe 3, again can't recall). My '95 Dakota needs a paint job right now but where I live currently I cannot DIY, I will be forced to farm it out. Gonna be costly. I DIY almost everything but stuck this time, city rules, yuk, lol.

omg iv had accu spray apolo graco titan titan great rig i modified my cup. but you guys need to buy cheap clamp with plastic then use airless with fflp tips so much easier. peace ☮️

Can you do a video on painting a chain link fence black. My galvanized chain link fence is only a couple but i think it would look better being black. I see a lot of painted chain link peeling and would like to see the proper way to do it that will last
I wouldn't mind some education on sprucing up a short run of chain link for the diy guy from some experienced pros. Replacing is an option of course but why if there is a good way that isn't too complicated. Thanks.

I suppose you don’t like the cs10,000? I have one I’m not that fond of it . I am going to a portable help setup soon lil torn between the Graco with that shut off and the titan with all these accessories I think the titan might win
unless these hvlp air turbine/ compressors are gas generator driven, powered off something semi portable. Becuase I want a rechargable battery model. nothing with much pressure. no electricity where I am at & got to go from house to house.
you also represent Graco dont you Chris ? and they just send you thousands of dollars worth of free spray equipt, correct ? Do you have to be careful as you now get free equipt from Titan and now here your advertising for them also ? Is that something Graco is ok eith ?

I definitely need to switch to a hvlp when doing cabinets. Currently using a 440 with a fine finish tip.

Either reduce the product, or use another product that can be reduced

I’m unfamiliar with that sprayer. I’d recommend a minimum of 5 stages if you’re spraying acrylic coatings. Oil and lacquer need fewer stages.

what number needle size are you using for paint.mine came with 3 different ones. thk u
3 on lacquer and 5 on fences
For painting iron fences, a dtm paint is about as thick as latex. What gun and set up did you recommend.

Yes you can paint all types of trimm from windows to base boards and doors, but make sure you use the right type of paint.
Yes I think you would get finer finish but more fog. I think Idaho sticks with FFLp aurless for trim
