Always had problems with these. Leaking and of course had to spend a lot of time thinning paints beyond the recommended amount. i would stick to airless
Nah I use them everyday professionally with thin and thick paints. If they're leaking it's probably because you warped the needle tip or the nozzle, you need to replace it and be gentle with the needle, dont use it to clean the gun. Don't scrape using the needle, don't use a blade to clean it, don't neglect it and let the paint dry on it. If your paint is too thick, use a bigger size needle and nozzle.
the gun has air and fluid controls which are great. But my hangup is the turbo control? Where do you set it? I was told by the dealer, just leave it on high
What was the answer to this? I have a 7.0 and haven't used it yet. What is best for turbine control. High? Low? And how do I know how to thin the material?
Seriously, how do you get the lid on and off the cup in a timely manner? Took me and another man 20 minutes getting the lid screwed on the cup, and another thing when installing and filling a new flexliner into the cup and pressing the lid down in it-invariably causes the lip of the liner to collapse in the cup, so we have to fiddle with it (causing us to lose time) When unscrewing the lid we have to insert the edge of a painter's 5 in 1 and pry the black ring off to get into the cup---- D*mit, we need to get to work! Why has Graco designed something so hard to use?
You have to get good man you don't have skills. You have to keep the thread clean. I use these everyday professionally, if it's tight it's because the thread is dirty. You must be using the wrong liners, use 3M liners
@@mushroom11g55 Actually, I found I was having all these problems when using oil based - I switched over to water based poly 2Ks about a year ago and no longer have any of these issues-I did shoot a gallon of oil based cover stain back in May and before I finished the gallon the lid had swollen just enough that it would no longer fit in the cup-went and got a spare lid and it dropped right in
@@scottsaustin I recommend the 3M cups, they don't swell, just keep them clean and don't make a habit of soaking them in thinner overnight. They probably last me 4 months daily use until I neglect it or make a mistake like pouring in paint without the liner
I have a problem with a machine of this type, it happens that every time I let go of the gun handle and I pull it again, haha from throwing paint, can you help me
@Steve Smith thanks for the reply ,I'm in England as well was looking to try allcoat or multi surface I spray mainly uPVC with 2 k but am thinking this system is a lot less hassle than the compressor set up ,and for kitchens I seen a conservatory done in multi surface from Screwfix and I thought it was looking as good as my 2k paint if not better without the fumes
@Steve Smith a lot to consider there then ,I think I'm going to buy one and give it a go ,I'll get some tikkarilla and try it out on a few old kitchen doors see what how well it holds up ,I am trying to find the best paint for the kitchens with regards to durability , thanks again mate
@@adysimm9774 hi ther I’m in same position as you I’m trying to find out what to use on kitchen cupboards does allcoat work with this equipment without thinning ?what are you using for kitchens
Make sure the liner and filter is seated perfectly. Maybe you're using cheap liners that are too thin, maybe put duct tape around the inside top of your outer cup to make it tighter
@mushroom11g55 I'm looking for a fine finish sprayer for mainly doors. You seems knowledgeable about these sprayers would you recommend one of these sprayers or the new quickshot for smooth metal doors.
Had the same issue, leaks from the cup, with new graco liners, and spotless clean cup, seen someone recommend to get O rings for the inside of the cup and that’s meant to work
When you have less pressure and more fluid, it will spit. Try less fluid and more air. My only issue with my system is leaking cup. Planning to go gravity feed cup soon
@@paultaylor8087 you warped the needle and/or nozzle. Maybe you used the needle to poke the gun to clean it real quick? That's That's no-no, be gentle with the needle
Way over price almost $1000 for this is ridiculous. Hose way to big! For small projects sprayer. Use 2 small air compressor. Hook them together so they share same air lines supplies. It will give you continue consistant air without losing pressure. The great part about it is, the small air supplies line give you way better hand movements. Cost you 1/4th the price. Plus you can use your air compressor on other tools.
Do you have a video how to clean these machines specially the remote pot?
Great advise on the small strainer, bin it!

Which is better or
Graco gx 19?
What’s the life span on this. Hvlps?
Do they sell different size tips? I just bought a 9.0 contractor one
They do. Look in Fine Finish Brochure for different Needle sizes.
What's the average lifespan of a turbine?
10 minutes!
Can you use solvent based paints through this

Thin your paint about 10%
