That was the special edition on release. I got one pair. Loved them, they lasted a year playing 3-4 times a week, then I moved to the Mizuno Morelia, and I have to say the NB are more accommodating for wide feet.
@@amaurytoloza1511I want my Son to try Mizuno football boot's. He only really wear's K leather but only the big 3 name's. I might just buy um the Neo's
The mizuno morelia ii elite can be found in europe for 130€ from time to time, granted their are not made in japan, they are made in vietnam but still a notch or two above the 442s
I say the elite versions of Mizuno boots specifically the Morelia 2 are vastly superior in terms of quality and fit over the Premier,442 V2049 and Copa 2.1.
My 442s broke after about 4-5 months. Even though they were the most comfortable boots ever, I cannot fully recommend them. Sole separation everywhere, even the side of the heel. And tears in the weak midfoot upper.
@@JonathanRodriguez-nz9nw I wore them exclusively on FG pitches. Bought them directly from NB Europe and their customer service rejected my complaints.
Hate when these big companies bring out a load of boot versions, not the same build quality of older boots and ramp the price up … absolutely scandalous
I had a pair of Copa Pure.1 (prior generation) that were nice to play with but started to split and shred quite early. Definitely considering the 442 next
Having bought and tried many different types of football boots my self , i would say the new balence 442 v2 is the best bang for the buck boot, the best value for money boot out there that you can buy .
Seems to be a problem with copas too, though my son has the pure 2.1, and they are lasting ok. Put shoe goo between the sole plate edge as soon as it looked to separate. He loves the touch of the copas after wearing only speed boots prior.
Grew up on Adipure. Was looking for a k-leather similar fit. Got the pure 2.1s. Although soft, it felt super thin and with little protection and molding felt like it may eventually rip. Went to my local soccer store, tried the New Balance 442 and it felt like exactly what I was looking for. Not maybe as many bells and whistles, but leather felt soft, boot was light, and felt fit instantly. Returned the adidas, and now playing the NB regularly.
I've had multiple pairs of 442s, Nike Premiers, and copa mudials and honestly I would just go for the best colorway on sale. They're that close to each other in feel and quality, there are slight pros and cons to each model but it is not enough to lower or raise your performance.
I have run the 442's for two seasons and have been thoroughly impressed overall. I don't know why, but in Australia they are selling the 442's for $260 and the Copa Pure.2 Elites for $300 - so $40 isn't as big a difference for us, unfortunately. However, the only negative aspect of the boot that I experienced was the internal heel. It took me about 5 games to finally not get a blister on each of my heels. However, for the remaining 25 or so games I have played since then, they have been fantastic. I will either get a pair of those again or jump to the Morelia Neo III Elite.
I just bought a white pair of 442. 9.5 wide. Extra room in the forefoot are but not really on the mid foot. Maybe I just have to really break them in. We’ll see how they perform
Hey Josh i saw NB website that they took out non k leather 442 pro, are you planing on getting your hands on them and dropping a comparison video to the regular 442?
Do you have any idea why the 442 Pro only goes to a 13, but many of NB's other boots, both takedown and high end, go to a 13.5? I have the indoors in a 13.5 and love them, both can't get the FG.
Especially since it is a cost cutting tactic. They save on material and charge even more money, and people buy it thinking they are a full leather boot
@@khelgarironfist3301 me? Yeah. Definitely. I was just in Japan. Yen rate is legit. MIJ was $144. New ones have a better stitch pattern. Still go back to tiempo 9s sometimes.

There's a special edition of the 442 for 160 bucks that has leather in the midfoot. It's "oily purple" though
And a gold one

New Balance just needs to offer the 442 in better color options.
That orange NB looks sharp, gotta admit

The problem of the NB 442 is durability. The soleplate will separate in a matter of some months. Good experience but will not last for too long
Made me sad when it happen to me

No one should pay more than $100 or $150 max for a football boot. The prices are ridiculous now
is the 442 better than the copa 2.3?
I have both boots because I was looking for a tiempo 9 replacement. They both don’t measure up. Stock up on tiempo 9s.
1/2 and 1/4 leather boots cannot compare to a 3/4 leather boot honestly
