Thanks. Would you kindly tell me why crank should touch the bearing (as in the end of the video)? If crank doesn't touch the bearing, what is the issue?

Crank should touch the bearing to know the clearance between them. If the crank doesn't touches the bearing on maximum clearance then the clearance is too high

I used paper to check the clearance and I used it because it is available every where but you should know the thickness of paper you can check the thickness by micrometer
