You can't praise the REAL artists in one breath and then shill this in the next. Modellers are a part of the community, too. We all know that ai is going to disrupt a lot of creative fields, let's not accelerate it by shilling it and offering people discount codes. Send them the way of real modellers instead

      Good Grief, UJ.
This is just ANOTHER fake A.I. service using sweatjobs!
Most likely, this is Kaedim again but using a different name, because they got caught. Only now they're charging $25-40 instead of the $6. But I guarantee they are picking the money instead of properly paying the 3D artists their worth.
Jessy, the red flags are all over the site. Here are just a few:
      1) No free trail option. Even if it was just 1-5 tries, a REAL 2D to 3D compa y would let you see the model, BEFORE paying for it.
      2) The fact they are forcing payment BEFORE their so-called "a.i. generated software" does it's work, is because a real person is speed modeling it. The imperfections are due to their having to speed through it, which masks the idead that it's all a.i. generated.
      3) In your skull example, there are details added to the 3D model that a a.i. program would not make. Like how far to shape certain parts of the structure. The addition of unseen elements in the original image is another giveaway.
      4) Run a test from the same account, using similar images. Be sure to order both renders close enough to one another that they down overlap, but the same artist will see them and be tasked to create them both. In this case that would be the skull. I bet the 3D mesh of both skulls will be identical or impossibly close.
      5) The fact the so-called a.i. program takes 25 minutes or more, is easily the biggest giveaway that that a real person is being forced to model it. A a.i. program would take MAYBE 10 minutes max, for a model like the melting skull. Why? Because it's modeling based on both a image and a prompt. A.I. image to image tech has gotten very fast and only takes a few seconds to generate high detailed and high quality images. There are ZERO REASONS for it to take more than 5 minutes for a simple model like the skull to take 25 minutes to generate.
      6) The fact this company is not tied to any image to image, nor text to image, a.i. generators, is more evidence they are lying and using digital sweatshop artists.
      7) Solid evidence this is a scam:
The domain was first registered in late July 2023. A tech site like this would have had it's domain registered LONG BEFORE the site went live. NOT THE SAME MONTH! Most of the owner info is redacted, but it's info claims to be stationed in Arazona, USA. HOWEVER; it also states to be owned by 1api.net. That domain was bought in 2017 and it's origins is fully redacted, EXCEPT for it's abuse report phone number. And that number is BASED IN GERMANY and includes a extention number!! ( 49+68949396x850)
For those that don't know, Kaedim is a website that made this exact same claim. Only they were charging a $6 trial and a $120-ish monthly fee. Fellow a.i. users, and 3D modelers figured out the scam. They did some digging and got proof Kaedim was lying and abusing their employees by paying them literally pennies on the dollar for each 3D render. Forcing them to provide somewhat quality 3D models at a rat race pace.l, to meet the demands of a real a.i. service.

I'm gonna agree with other comments and say this is too similar to Kaedim3D where they have people behind the scenes making the models. Things like it not doing people, realistic animals, or foliage is definitely because the modelers don't have the time/are not experienced enough to make them. On top of that, even though the models aren't perfect, they're also too good for what we know 3D AI can do at the moment. Not even Google's Dreamfusion can make individual shapes for models (it's not publicly available yet but the point still stands. I'd try CSM AI. It's genuine Image to 3D AI and has a free tier. I'm confident in it being real because it takes longer to process and sometimes the results can be outright bad, which leads to credibility lol. I would say the models are pretty impressive for what it is though. I've printed a few myself and they're pretty cool just for the novelty of holding an AI-generated 3D model.

Something to be aware. I paid for this service, in the credit card statement the company name was NIKKO INDUSTRIES. A quick google search shows that he is running another business which sells 3d assets. Could it be that the assets he makes for you, he is selling to other people? It says on his site that "it is 100% yours", but on the terms of service it suggests that you are granted a license to use their service for non-commercial purposes. So is it a license, or do we own what you make? This guy is not to be trusted.

My 3d designs are mostly functional and I rarely use Z-Brush, but, still, that's the point I'm coming from. @@ronalddhs3726 Oh I get it. If they know how to use the tools already, then this program doesn't sound like it would be for them.
The way I see this, it would be great for those people who want a model to print but cannot find a designer, mainly because they want something new and highly detailed for like ten bucks. I've had too close contacting because of the requests. They don't appreciate the work that goes into learning the software as well as the time spent in the actual design.
Even though I am not a professional, I can see this for myself if I want to create a detailed base mesh to build upon. Such as the helmet example.
I have no experience making them, so to get a "helmet with 3 horns in a mohawk" I think it would be more than worth it to use this. Create a generalized helmet and then I can add my horns. If I wanted to add wires, like a cyberpunk helmet, I can reload the generalized base mesh and add them myself. Like getting an asset pack for Unreal and using it as a base.

As a struggling (physically) modeler, I like this. Not for converting A.I. images but it looks like I can take my sketches and this will generate a base mesh which I can then refine. That can save several hours alone depending on what I am trying to make.

Is that the price per model, per month, per year?? If it's per model then that is a bit steep.

Jesse you recommend nomad sculpt? Vs blender? Been using tinkercad considering learning something little bit more advanced.

This is cool and scary. Things like this make my only fear of losing my job. I've spent years learning how to 3D model, and here you have this technology that can do it in minutes.

I still think AI 3D modeling will be extremely limited compared to what it did to 2D art. The only reason 2D AI art got that way is because it's very easy to look up art online and download images and the image is literally all it needs. The difference with 3D models is that 3D AI modeling is still heavily reliant on 2D images and you still have to pay most 3D artists to even download their STL files, meaning 3D models can't be stolen en mass the way 2D images can.

This is not AI. It is a scam site, human makes a simple 3D model and then submits to the user. The files that he got were all named kaedim which is the name of the previous website that used that kind of scam. Yes, indeed that is the same website but they changed the name and forgot to change the names of the files. So you don't have to be scared, at least for now bcz this is all done by a human which is why it costs
$40 and the model is really bad(you get what you pay for) but the mesh is divided in a way that it is 1000% clear it is made by a human.

I’m still really bummed and upset that Make This Printable is no longer available as a web service. It was so handy for fixing prints that weren’t print ready. This tech is really cool. But holy shit is it overpriced. The clean geometry with components is really nice tho.

THe high poly was probably faster because smoother surfaces probably cause less accelaration/deacceleration to create curves based on straight lines.
Good content! I received some emails about this tool and I was not sure to try it.

My guess is its people behind it not ai secondly a.40 doaler price tag is a bit to pricy for me honestly itd be better if it was a 40 doaler subscription and you could do like 10 images a week or something
