Hi Lanie, I believe EarendilTheBlessed is partially right. residential ovens do not put out as much heat as commercial ovens, therefore the heat is contained within the oven. Commercial ovens may or may not need an additional heat shield, you will need to check with the manufacturer. Some companies require a heat shield to prevent damage to the cabinets.
