like it good idear i'll make the same but i'll nail the ply in the middle and cut both sides one with the motor running with the middle ply and the oppersite side the other, that way i can use the saw either way round, cheers
Why do you use the motor side toward the fence? Vs. using motor side away from the fence so that nothing rides over the fence and it can then be less than 3 inches wide right? Is there a reason or is it just a preference? I have a need to make one but I am looking to cut with motor away from the fence. It is just my preference in cutting but I want to make sure I am not missing a valid reason for not doing it that way. Thanks for the video!
ballzack57 Hi,That is a good question. I like to have the wider part of the saw's base plate to be on the guide. This will enable you to keep the blade flat and stable, making your cut more accurate. You also have the option of using a wider board and attaching your top guide board in the center. This way you can have extra room for your clamps. I chose to do it this way because I wanted to save time. I was building the island at the time and I wanted a quick and accurate guide. Thanks for the comment!Paul

Hi John, Sorry about the chirping noise I could not control it because the alarm company was installing the system. I was hired by the builder to install the cabinets and I was on scheduled time frame. Thanks! Paul

Good
Horrible squeaking noise all through the video. Sounded like someone scrubbing their tennis shoes on the concrete.
