Those of us that are true believers of the Handyman never had a doubt that it would work and be able to support a small family in the upper cabinet. Keep up the good work! Merry Christmas!

Special thanks to the Handyman! I built a 3 piece cabinet inspired by this video. Three pieces made it so much easier to build, move, and install. I also left 2" space above the double oven to allow more room for the oven wiring cable; the face frame was ~ 3" wide for this section and looks great. I also drilled a 2" dia hole between the top of the double oven cabinet and bottom of the upper cabinet on the inside (toward the back) and installed the 220V power junction box inside the back of the top box- this made wiring much easier, and easier to install the oven. You can install the oven with the armor cable pulled through the top, then attach the wires once the oven is slid in all the way. I was sure to pose for a photo myself inside the cabinet, taking a page out of the Handyman's play book. Thank you again for making and sharing this video!

I believe in you handyman!! When my double oven got installed in my last house, they screwed up my floor and had to replace much of the floor! If they had you it wouldn’t have been an issue!!

I recently installed a 620lb wood burner in my living room. Rolled it in on a custom built 4-wheel dolly with solid rubber wheels. Then we used a bunch of cardboard laid out to protect the hearth and set up an engine hoist to lower the thing into place precisely. Worked perfect.

Beautiful work! I've watched a few different wall oven unit videos the last few days and noticed that shop bought and handmade units in the US have different regulations for fire safety than we do in the UK.
We get a big hole with no back on the carcass where the oven will be. Then the oven has to have a ventilation gap between the carcass sides, bottom and a larger gap at the rear.
I'm trying to get my husband to make a floor to ceiling set of units, 1 to house 2 single side by side individual ovens over a double. (Replaced gas to electric due to breaking and the old carcass won't be big enough and I want to move the location also)
Hubby thinks that mdf/veneer is something magically fireproof or something and worrys that anything he builds might be a fire hazard.

And for those of us just building our business and learning, it is easy to think of yourself as less-than if you don’t have everything perfectly sorted out from the start. Sorry for the novel. Great job. Next time you have a tall cabinet that goes to ceiling. You can cut the back corner at the base of your cabinet and if there is a floor vent in that room you can put the finished side corner in that. It will allow you to stand up a tall cabinet that goes to ceiling. The adjoining cabinet will hide the part you cut off. You can build as one piece that way...
