I think if you could alternate between the 4 main characters would be awesome and have random quests and open world interactions as each individual (aang, katara, toph and zuko) similar to GTA 5 where each individual would have its own side missions. Katara loved to help people in need, toph loved to fight in tournaments or those scams she would pull as the blind bandit, aang doing his avatar duties across the open map, zukos journey by himself across the open map in search for hidden true destiny etc. they could’ve really made a great game out of this show. Obviously improve the graphics if you cam create great gameplay graphics for games like spider man or GTA etc i dont see why they didn’t at least make a minimal effort to try and give us that. This game reminds me of those old ps2 games.
We should be the avatar. Choose a first element and on our way to every nation learning the next one untill the final boss(and having many missions in between ofcourse. Like rescuing boomy 🤔)
I’ve been waiting almost 20 years for a true, open-world, Avatar game. I was 11 when the series released. With all this next gen hardware a series like this should be a best-selling game. My heart remains sad lol
What does that mean? "It's 2023, they should obviously be throwing millions away at every little project". Dude, this series has been dead for a decade and a half, and none of the games it produced within its actual running sold enough to make it a viable gaming franchise, from a business perspective. And you want them to, what, roll out the gate with the first game in the series and it's spinoff in over a decade, automatically having enough faith to put AAA funding behind it? If the games never brought the money when the series was actually at the height of its popularity and still going, there's no way to expect corporate executives to see a AAA Avatar the Last Airbender game as anything but a potentially gigantic waste of funds.
Avatar has never had an attempt tho. The Burning Earth and Legend of Korra were cool but most avatar games are extremely short with basic graphics and a lackluster story. ATLA is a certified legendary american cartoon and if they made atleast a 10-20 hour game with 2023 graphics, good combat and a decent explorable map it would definitely sell. Fantasize With Me Here’s my idea for an ATLA video game that will never exist: Base Game: An online, multiplayer, open-world action RPG. Character Creation: You choose your nation, whether or not you’re a bender (you could have a Sokka, Suki, or Ty Lee type character, as a non ending example), and customize your character to your liking. I don’t think for this game mode that people should be able be the Avatar, rather the Avatar would be an NPC you interact with. There could be at least 2 different servers- one that explores the era of a past Avatar that we know little to nothing about (Pre-Yangchen era) and a future based server that explores an Avatar after Korra. The future based server would have the benefits of allowing you to learn newer skills such as metal-bending for an earthbender. This would be a cool way to expand on the ATLA lore and all cut scenes and preexisting content could be canon :) Story: The story would consist of multiple quests scattered all throughout the Avatar world as we know it. There would be core quests and side quests, but ultimately, you will be able to explore and choose your own adventure. Map: All of the major locations explored in the series would be POIs that you could fast travel to if your character has a means of travel. Maybe traveling would be something you unlocked based on if you actually manage to secure your own transportation; staff, boat, flying sky bison etc. Other (DLC) Game Modes: 1.) A multiplayer, competitive Pro-Bending (Legend of Korra) game that people can compete in cash cups, similar to Fortnite meets Pokémon (maybe? lol) 2.) Avatar Training Simulator-practice bending all four elements 3.) Single player (“offline”) story mode- play as the Avatar in a story based campaign similar to something like the recent Star Wars: Jedi games where you unlock specific abilities as you progress. This mode would be focused on your journey to bring balance to the natural and spirit worlds just like the many Avatars before you :) For many years after the games release stories following the CANON (no bullshit loose adaptations) journeys of Avatar Wan, Szeto, Yangchen, Kuruk, Kyoshi, Roku, Aang, and Korra. These would take quite a while to develop but would keep the game fresh for what I would presume to be decades. These would be sold as expansion packs and would probably cost the same as a full game each since that is essentially what they are. 4.) Festival Mode: Hang out and chat with other players online in a stress free environment attending festivals throughout the various nations i.e. the Fire Festival. Play fun minigames and simply explore without having to worry about the stresses of combat 5.) hear me out… SKY BISON RACING!…or maybe some other animal, but who cares? any way you chop it up the would make for great DLC! 6.) Bending Royale: your typical Battle Royale except instead of guns…you’re bending! You might find where I posted this on reddit, but it didn’t get a good dialogue going 🤷🏽♀️
